New Republic vs (Andromeda) Systems Commonwealth

New Republic at its height before the arrival of the Yzzhan Vong and Systems Commonwealth before the Great Fall.

There has been a conflict on who is to control the wormhole that goes between SC and NR space. The wormhole is in Milky Way galaxy and the other end is in Outer Rim... Somewhere. After few months of good relations the two powers enjoyed, they could not agree on who should control the wormhole which now is leading to a war. The NR senate wants to control it because of the security reasons while SC wants to control it for economic reasons for trade benefits etc.


There is possibly more than one scenario in this one.

Scenario 1:
Due to the good relations they had before this conflict, SC is not willing to go all way out for a full scale war so they just give the necessary ships to hold NR forces at bay just hoping it will be a stalemate.

NR cannot provide full military force because the Imperial Remnant might take huge interest in this fight because it will weaken their defences around the core worlds and ship construction facilities making them good targets for the Remnant forces who would more than anything to retake them in the name of the Empire.

Scenario 2:
Both the Yzzhan Vong and Remnant is totally irrelevant in this fight so they don't exist and New Republic and Systems Commonwealth will be at full scale war, holding back nothing. But as usual they must be able to protect their star systems in case of attacks. Neither side is willing to kill civilians, only targeting military targets.

Damn is it only possibly to have four options in the poll? I had added six of them. These are the ones i wanted to have in the poll.

Scenario 1: SC wins

Scenario 2: SC wins
Scenario 2: NR wins

I think it will end in both cases with each side sealing off their end of the wormhole to a degree where the other can't pass through.
