Has anyone else read any of these books? I just finished The Iron Jackal, and I'm having more fun reading these books than I have any series in a long time. There aren't that many pulp novels published these days, and I get the feel of reading one with these even though I suspect they are more serial that have very defined chapters. It's just fun, not deep, not hard to read, a clever magic system that isn't really magic, a couple of cool planes, good characters with individual voice, protagonists rather than heroes and oddly complex bad guys.
They're almost what I imagine the not space version of the Anti-Firefly would be like.
