Clone Wars: Siege of Mandalore review

Post by ray245 »

Since the Clone Wars season 7 thread has been derailed, I want to talk about the new Clone Wars episodes here.

The first two episodes of the Siege of Mandalore arc is near perfect imo, showcasing some of the best bit of Star Wars. It feels cinematic, and the lightsaber duels between Maul and Ahsoka is some of the most fun lightsaber duels we have in a while.

It will be interesting to see how Order 66 will play out in the final two episodes. Surely it can't get any more epic than what we got?
Humans are such funny creatures. We are selfish about selflessness, yet we can love something so much that we can hate something.

I liked it as well. Which is funny, I audibly groaned way back when, when they brought Maul back. I didn't like Asoka for the first couple seasons of Clone Wars. But damn... it's really been the best Star Wars for the last 5 years.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red
