I heard MOO3 wasn't too good. Is GE any better?

On another level, how does it compare to Terran-based Civ games like CivIII and 1503 AD?

I've never played it but my friend returned it pretty quickly. Though I'd have to go ask him why again

Personally, I like MOO3. You just have to get used to the macromanaging bit.

I thought GalCiv was pretty good, actually. It's Civ In Space, no more, no less.
