Bush gives Hussein and Co 48 hrs to leave Iraq....

Post by irishmick79 »

wheather you're anti war Anti-War, or Pro-War, I'd just hope that everybody can take a moment of your time and be thankful for all the good things you love in life, and hope that those in what will soon be a combat zone will come home safely, and once again enjoy the things in life they love. Be they American, British, Iraqi, or whatever.

As an American, I just hope that the troops come home swiftly, safely, and victoriously.

That is all.

I also wish the best luck and a swift return to all the men and women of the U.S and the other western allies fighting alongside them.

unfortunately saddam has some deluded sense of honor. He'll probably stay because he feels that leaving would be abandoning his people and that it should be his citizen's honor to die along with him. Personally I hope america doesn't lose a single troop and that no a single innoncent civilian die. The only one who should be dead is saddam and his psychopathic supporters, not the citizens and not the troops trying to free his people from oppression.

May this conflict be no more destructive than it need be. I so very hope this will make the world a safer place.

Sr.mal, that's a fucking creepy avataur.

And yes, my anti-war sentiments not withstanding, godspeed to our troops in the field; y'all get home safe. And don't kill to many Iraqi folks on your way.

Same for me. Godspeed, liberators, may you return in alive and in peace, and give birth to peace.

I hope the war is quick, with minimal loss of life. When I see 18-20 yr old kids, going over there to do a job it saddens me they might lose their life or limb at a time when they've just begun to live.

What paticularly bothers me right now, is the children of the the older servicemen who might not see mommy or daddy again.

On a more selfish side, I hope this marks the begin of a turn around in the economy, I and a lot of others need steady work.

I hope the war is quick, with few military or civilian casualties, and no more destruction than what is necessary is done.

Just thinking about going to war makes my stomach curl up in knots... :(

He wasn't elected democratically. He lost the popular vote.
Yes, but losing the popoular vote while winning the electoral college is allowed in America. It's happened before, and the candidate that went on to become president lost the popular vote by a far wider margin.

Anyway, I say we end the political bickering and get back on topic. As I said before, I hope our military personnel come back home safely.

As a military member, I appreciate the sentiment.
I still have 30 days of transfer leave to get my wife set up in a new town the n I fly off to the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70.

Good luck, friend. I do hope your wife will get to know the other wives quickly enough so she'll have support. May the wind be at your back.
