Damn right, Data's loss was a blow, but it shouldn't have been cheapened by the possible "Data Jr".

Spiner doesn't wany to play the part anymore. So this is unlikely.

I know, but it still cheapen's Data's loss by having a carbon copy for him.

I agree. And to a large degree I share that sentiment with regard to Spock. The heart wrenching sacrifice ultimately meant nothing.
