Re: The Middle Class through the Hollywood lens
Thanks for sharing this article. This is something [as a foreigner] that has always puzzled me about US entertainment: the houses all appear to be so vast and wonderful. I'm interested to learn that it is mainly an illusion decorated by out-of-touch Hollywood types.

He was also on BBC Question Time last Thursday. Check him out on iPlayer.
This video is incredibly cringe. Why do they not directly address him? They come across as so rude and patronising.

Who actually wants to watch me play COD with a 0.3 K/D ratio? I can't see that feature taking off.

Sim City beta
I've been keeping an eye on this game and I was really looking forward to it, until I heard about how small the cities are. I don't want to be restricted by space, although I am prepared to give the game an opportunity with its regional city system to win me over. I know the beta has started the wee...

I remember the Teletext video game magazine Digitiser on Channel 4's version. That and the Bamboozled quiz which I played every week. Those were good times. Its block graphics always held a certain charm. YES! I remember them both fondly. I also used to check Sky 1's weekly Star Trek and Simpsons t...

I've not even played this game and probably never will, but I love watching videos on youtube about it. I'm looking forward to a console version in the future.

I have just logged on for the first time in several months, however when I tried to login I was advised that due to multiple incorrect password attempts I would have to answer a question before I could proceed. Has anything unusual happened over the past few months or is it just an isolated incident?

Re: UK Says No To AV
I love all of the various excuses being paraded by our 'progressive majority': the population voted No because of a 'dirty campaign' [because the Lib Dems have no track record of conducting dirty campaigns. They are so virtuous!]; the population voted No to give Nick Clegg a kicking [note: no one gi...

I hope they don't release any photos. I think the US has come across as very clinical, professional and almost classy during this whole process. Releasing gory images to the world will only a) satisfy the sickos who surf the web looking for sick stuff b) potentially alienate Pakistanis/Muslims in ge...

This is wonderful news, I feel good for everyone in the US and for the families of those lost in AQ attacks. The mission sounds like a complete success and we should be pleased with this, because it could have very easily gone badly wrong!

Can it run Crysis?
[sorry].
Also, prices would be good. I'm interested in what top spec PC's cost these days.

Re: MLB 2011 Thread!
My Mariners have started just like last year. No hitting, good starting pitching, horrible bullpen and inconsistent defence. This is very much a rebuilding year for us. I hope to see Pineda and Ackley develop this season, and if Michael Saunders can become a league average player that would be nice....

Re: Civ5 to bring my PC to its knees, do not want
Civ 4 ran like shit as well, especially when it was first released. Firaxis have a track record of shitty/lazy coding. Which is a shame because I'd like to but this game, but I'm not upgrading for the sake of one game. I'll just buy a PS3/Xbox game instead.

I think this is probably the main reason. In this increasingly Presidentialised system, personality is key. And I think it is quite clear now for all to see that GB has character flaws that prohibit him from being a successful leader.Teleros wrote:Fire Fly wrote: he simply doesn't come across as very likeable.

Do any of you play this on the PS3? I watched the IGN review and it looked pretty poor on the PS3 compared to the PC, is it still worth getting?

how does this compare to FDR during his 1st year? Apparently , Gallup did not start approval polling until FDR's second term. His lowest approval rating was 46%, in 1938. Comparing opinion polls to so far back is an exercise in futility as they use different questions and weighting. Check out polit...
