Send him to a Betazoid wedding. Watch how much fun he has until someone tells him that everyone there is a psyker. Not just a psyker, but filthy xenos at that. Awfully human looking Xenos, capable of breeding with humans Xenos, with about as much difficulty as humans from different planet...

ROFL LOL and all that.

I really hope you at least show Cain in his new realm. :D

Re: A Squelch of Empires (crossover)

My understanding is that the Imperium devotes far more of its resources to its military than the Empire ever did, and never (or at least very rarely) takes things out of service as long as they still work. Thus the Imperium has a huge fleet built up, but some of their ships are thousands of years o...

Whatever the case, I think Tzintchi is getting fancy.

Though I think I've more or less figured out what's going on.

6) Astromech droids: Imagine being a daemon bound within an R2 droid. What an awesome way to work off your debt to society in style. Except that it'd be far too nice for those that become bound daemons - those are the truly BAD ones. The ones that get Astromechs would be like Lars, ones who have fa...

You have a HABIT of 'getting stuck' and never going back to post more chapters, you bastard! You leave us with fantastic stories of interesting people, some funny, some inspiring, some terrifying, all stories with many people asking for more and more, but then the Story just Stops! No ending, no re...

Re: The Open Door (megacrossover)

The problem with using semi-sentient computer algorithms is that, eventually, a fully sentient one will emerge that isn't bound by its original parent programming. It might evolve a mind of its own and decide to take over. There's nothing 'semi-sentient' about a MkXXXIII's computer. The XX's were t...

Christ, another bunch of Bolowhiners. I thought they mostly hung out at SB. Oddly enough, nobody over there are whining about this. I'll say that the Bolo appears to still be missing quite a few IQ points. Otherwise, he would have dealt with the out of context problems far better than he did. The E...

If the Weave is the Internet of magic, then the Shadow Weave under Shar was 4chan. 4chan's too competently run. It'd be like some of the more restrictive forums out there - run by a half competent administrator/owner. It hasn't been patched lately, any posts disagreeing with the admin are deleted a...

Re: The Open Door (megacrossover)

Copper is pretty easy to refine and very common in the D&D setting, and they already have plenty of raw iron and steel to work with. When you break it down to that, that's all you need for basic electricity. At this point the tougher part is the insulator. You're pretty much stuck with organic ...

Rereading, I was struck how Siralee was sent as the 'diplomatic' one, to offset the observant but presumably coarse Cydric. Cydric's being the more diplomatic one! Of course, he's probably fascinated by the construction, seeing the potential. Academia, Soot reduction is one of the easier pollution c...

Do they gain any spellcasting abillities (like Ranger equal to their hit dice perhaps) while in their "mortal" form? Given the wording, the stat listing is for a 'generic' Ghost Rider. In reality, if Academia Nut wanted, he could gen Ghost rider versions of all 300 odd transformed men. Wh...

For long-term consequences, when a ghost rider is in its “Love Quenches the Flames” form, can they sire offspring with a mortal woman? People do die in the duels, a lot, even if the majority of the duels aren't specifically to the death, and Chaos practices horrific tortures upon those they deem "deserve it". They're vicious and while they don't go out of their way to cause casualties like their predecessors, they have a...

One thing about Vita- she WAS horribly injured the last time TSAB saw her. She could play up that angle to explain any differences. After all the TSAB DOES know there can time rate differences between dimensions, and Vita can blame any differences on recovery/puberty/being stuck with chaos.

there is... Pick any Ciaphas Cain novel at random and I guarentee you there is at least one, if not more, paragraph of Cain musing as to how he has to appear to care for the common trooper in order to get them to watch his back and avoid the common 'friendly fire' scenario.
