Re: Watched "Thor" again, confused about Lore.
in the comics - are there anypoints where thor and loki pal up as a double act? I'd love to see Loki as a 'consultant avenger' The current run of Journey Into Mystery has a child version of Loki getting to pal around with Thor, the Warriors 3, and one of Hel's servants. Thor shows up but he's not a...

Re: The Legend of Korra: Book 1 Finale Talkback (Spoilers)
Can someone explain to me if it was a Nick decision or something to restrict the season to this many episodes? Couldn't they have squeezed in two or three more episodes into this season? I simply don't think it's acceptable to have drawn out the Yakone flashbacks throughout the season, as if they w...

One thing I keep seeing come up is the whole thing about the biologist not freaking out with the weird alien cobra thing but freaking out at the dead Engineer. Isn't it possible he's one of those people who's just intensely uncomfortable around corpses? I mean it's hardly a rare thing.

The worst part of this show is the fact that I have to wait a week between viewings.
But seriously, how the hell did Tarlok do that?
Also there was some great action this episode.

Re: Chuck does Gargoyles
I watched his review of The Mirror and he brings up a point there at the end that matches with my own views.
Q: Why don't the Gargoyles get Puck to fix x problem for them?
A: They aren't stupid enough to ask him for more than the bare minimum needed to get him to fix the previous mayhem.

Re: So I just saw Battleship...
Dunno.. I myself would find it highly amusing if it turned out that everyone screaming about how the aliens are trying to summon an invasion force was wrong and it turned out they were trying to send a message that said something like.. "We're aborting the contact mission, these crazy assholes ...

I missed the bit where he said the gun is made from Asguardian tech, I only recall him saying it was started after the Destroyer showed up. Granted though the opening barrel and orange beam are reminiscent of the Destroyer and with the Bifrost gone Asguard would have no way to retrieve it so it wou...

It's been a while since I read this series.. but I do like that as with the bolo books we've got an AI that isn't hellbent on killing or ruling us in the form of Dahak.

I just got back from seeing it and thought it was an interesting flick, entertaining as well. For the Missouri's fuel I believe they said they had enough for a maintenance cruise or something like that, the shells I dunno. Willing to forgive it though because it was awesome. I'll echo the comments o...

I've actually really started liking Red Hulk's series since Loeb was taken off of it and I've kind liked what they're doing in building him a rogue's gallery.. and I admit I did get a good laugh out of Rulk ending up with his own 'Ross' chasing after him (because one of the things he did during his ...

I kinda like one idea I saw that the Chitauri have that 'mothership destroyed we stop working' thing as insurance against Loki trying to pull a double cross and keep the army without holding up his end of the bargain.

I had fun with it, though one thing I really hope they fix (they've stated they're working on it IIRC) is the overflow instancing not prioritizing teams when you and a friend load into an overflow instance.. meaning you and a teammate could end up seperated and have to dance back and forth through t...

Also, way to drop an unmarked spoiler there. I don't see how something that will be mentioned in the blurb describing the DLC in the Xbox marketplace can really be called a spoiler. Well for one I'm playing on PC and so I didn't hop onto live and read the blurb. Some of us are deliberately avoiding...

Re: Mass effect and the changes in weaponry
Some of the early videos made it sound like they were going to roll with the hybrid 'let it cool down or pop the clip to keep firing'. It was much nicer way to do things and I was happy that before long a mod came out that let things work that way (not perfectly since one shot weapons still had to r...

It was terrible.. it descended from the sky on a trail of fire! With it came a boom of thunder, and that horrible high pitched cry of 'SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE!'

Re: Your Favorite P&P RPG's
Lets see.. My group and I loved Exalted's setting and idea but weren't fans of the system. The 40K RPGs come in right after that though we haven't gotten to play a Black Crusade game yet. We recently had fun doing a short adventure in Wu-Xing: The Ninja Crusade which had the added benefit of letting...

Re: Dragon Age II: What The Holy Fuck?!
B) What the fuck, Orsino. You won. Why resort to blood magic and kill the people trying to help you? It was fucking ridiculous. I mean, I can understand WHY someone would use blood magic given what was going on. The templars fulfilled their own prophecy there, driving the mages to it. However, ther...

Heh, I heard a mention on another board of GW employees using the 'unlimited range' rule on the Tachyon arrow, calling up other stores and launching strikes on games going on there (I'm betting there's a line of sight rule they're forgetting but it's still a funny image). Also looking at it I really...

I love Trazyn's crazy 'steal all the cool things' motivation. That and the explanation for why C'tan shards from the same C'tan can have such variable powers (there's scads of them, yes the C'tan could throw you back to the start of time if it wanted.. unfortunately this shard isn't the bit that kno...

I just played a map with the Tunguska and am blown away by how poorly balanced it is. First of all the Americans have NO mobile AA whatsoever even though the Linebacker and Vulcan were obvious choices. Secondly why the HELL does it have more health than the game's tanks? A rocket to the back doesn'...

Might be part of a bundle, I know that's how I ended up with a 2500K instead of a normal 2500.
