Re: Is there such thing as a low-cost 'gaming' PC yet?
Do you want something that will be fine for just now, or do you want some expandability and future-proofing? Hardware these days doesn't go obsolete in 6 months, so it is actually possible to keep a gaming system running well and playing the newest games for quite a while.

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (SPOILERS)
I'd be more concerned with ingesting all that dirt and dust upon landing on a dirt runway in peru or wherever. Also notice that in the depressurization scene, the debris and bodies conspicuously go around the engine as opposed to being sucked into it (like what would actually happen). It's not like ...

Re: Valve announces SteamOS a Linux based open source gaming
If you are a developer with limited time and funding, which platform are you going to develop for first?
Windows.
As this is such an obvious deduction, I am interested as to what Valve's plan for this is.

I'm looking to build a brand new computer next month or so. Here's the part list I've got: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1sNg9
Comments or suggestions? I also need to find a nice monitor to go with it.
Also, are there any new hardware releases coming soon that I should know about?

And thus Agatha discovers how to use the portals for time travel, refines it, and we get the time windows that we saw way back in the beginning of the story.

Disney is the first to capitalize on the discovery. Real mermaids are soon part of Disney parks worldwide.

So who's the chick trying to play "Deep Throat" radio host? She has to be Skye, the new civilian recruit. The first episode will likely be about tracking her down and recruiting her. I really hope they do not have superheroes coming to save the day. It should be these normals, the SHIELD ...

I have seen some unidentified flying vehicles above El Mirage lakebed, which is near Edwards AFB.
When I visited Skunk Works in Palmdale they said they would show us the aliens and spaceships, but we never got around to it.

Tell me about the other match you played where your entire team done derped and a single medium came in and wiped your entire side's artillery. Or the other match where you couldn't hit anything all match and no-damaged bounced everything you hit. Or the other match where you couldn't contribute at ...

That's totally not how Dr. Device was used at the end of the book anyways. I'm gonna guess dream sequence. I'm also gonna guess that they will show the ending of the final battle fairly straight from the book, as that scene makes for good cinema.

Re: Help With AP Physics
v=wr (which is actually lowercase omega times r) means that the instantaneous tangential velocity of a certain point is the rotational velocity (omega) multiplied by the distance the point is from the center of rotation (r). Typically the center of rotation is some axis through the center of mass, s...

Re: Help With AP Physics
Translation is sliding without rotating. Rotation is obviously rotating. Traditionally both translation and rotation are measured in reference to the center of mass. So in your example, there is both translation and rotation going on. The rod is rotating 90 or more degrees, and the center of mass of...

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2
Oh wonderful, WoT getting even more randomization, ensuring that skills is even less of a factor when playing. I'd be OK with damage and accuracy nerfs to arty as long as there was a massive splash radius increase. Thus giving arty the role of constant low-damage threat. Gold ammo is the proper coun...

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2
I'm convinced there is a random dice roll at the beginning of the match when you play arty, that determines how accurate you are for the rest of the match. Some matches I am absolutely on fire, hitting ridiculous shots, through windows, on the run, 360 noscope bullshit. Other matches I literally can...

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2
Once again, one shotted by an arty three tiers lower than me... Stop driving in straight lines. I have anecdotes too. 50% of my shots don't land in the aiming circle, frontal armor reduces 1000+ potential points of damage down to <200, and that's only if it doesn't just bounce off said armor. I car...

Re: National Air Cargo Boeing 747 Crashes Shortly After Take
Loading in cargo through the side door diagonally is hardly dangerous or time-consuming. How do you think every non-747 freighter does it? The same way the 747 normally does it. Load at a 90 degree angle, then turn inside. Instead of actually going through the door at an angle as would be required ...
