Will aspects of Rebuild such as Mari Makinami be in this fanfic?
Also all of this TSAB magical princess anime crossover balderdash is obviously just a cover for Yithian activity. All hail the Great Race!

Re: Star Wars: A Thousand Nations
With several volleys from the Home One , the HIMS Executor shuddered, hull fractures erupting all over its massive frame. It launched its turbolasers in one last futile struggle, and disappeared in a flash of a thousand points of light. But to the disappointment of the New Republic, the Executor had...

Re: Star Wars: A Thousand Nations
Luke Skywalker landed on the alcove with a thud. Inches behind him sat the Sith Moon core vent, hundreds of thousands of meter deep. It led straight into the hypermatter reactor and almost certain death. As he stood up, he choked back a cry, willed himself with the Force, and began to run franticall...

Re: Star Wars: A Thousand Nations
The Battle of Endor : The Imperial Commonwealth had received the brunt of attacks from the resurgent Empire. Though he felt it to be beneath him, Zaarin approached the New Republic with a truce and an alliance against the Empire. The NR gladly accepted, and received the novel presence of advanced T...

Star Wars: A Thousand Nations
Foreword: I first got the idea for such a project after I read several excellent Star Wars alternate universe stories in Fanfiction.net, and decided to create a neat fusion AU of my own which could contain the largest number of possible factions and groups all jostling each other for power. Basicall...

I don't really consider his cosmological deity bloodlines. But I can easily accept that Big C and Big H are rivals, though- by default they'd be competing for followers anyways.

Infinities: Not Grievous, but Qymaen jai Sheelal
What if San Hill had never sabotaged the Kaleesh warlord's shuttle, and Qymaen jai Sheelal was never cyborged and drafted into the service of the Separatists? Consider this: he finishes contract for the InterGalactic Banking Clan, maintains relatively cordial relations with his paymaster San Hill, a...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Fourteen Up
The Salvation War seems like a hot series. Have you ever thought of bringing it over to big-name publisher, Stuart? Baen Books seems like a solid destination. Armageddon would fit right in there.

Re: New Sherlock Holmes Trailer - May cause Doyle Zombie to rise
Thoughts: 1. Young Sherlock Holmes also had him fighting cultists. 2. This reboot/reimagining is kinda dumb since the series isn't stagnant. 3. If I wanna see Victorian pulp then I'd rather they remake the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or adapt Anno Dracula. 4. Maybe the reason why they can't do...

Re: Trek 09 Starfleet weapons, organization, etc. [Spoilers]
Casual fans want to at least know what the plot is and understand it. This movie had a convoluted plot. Convoluted popcorn films are all the rage these days- the Matrix sequels, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, hell even The Dark Knight was a bit twisted. battle scenes with giant space ships that most o...

Re: Star Trek 09 review thread
Maybe it's just me, but young Kirk came across as less annoying or idiotic than most hot-headed independent rebel heroes in fiction. I think partly it's because he was calm without being too smug, the script basically made him right most of the time, and his relationship with authority wasn't comple...

I loved the Narada, but does anyone else think that it was heavily similar to recent (last ten years or so) sci-fi ship designs of "big spiny metal-tentacle black thing", especially Shadow vessels from B5?

Re: Demographics for a colony ship
Excellent considerations. I myself am not sure how you would avoid taking entire families to the trip, because the colonists would surely despair without their loved ones. Sure, you can try to find a lot of singles or childless couples, but this is still difficult.

Demographics for a colony ship
Suppose you were to send 5,000 to 10,000 colonists in cryosleep to a far-off near-Earth type biosphere within 50 years (yes, lots of handwavium here), and Earth was about to die. Think Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. What kind of colonists would you send in terms of age, ethnicity, ability, etc.?

Re: nBSG GRIMDARK
The ending IS grimdark. The climax of the series was clever enough: everybody gets to Earth, even if they have to do it by renaming a planet, and the Story Begins Again. There were a couple of problems with the final episodes, though. The show made a big deal out of the leave-taking of the decrepit ...
