Re: Stafett (Original superhero)
I'm surprised that no one else has replied yet, this is a very good story IMO. Some of the best original fiction I've read, better than most novels to be frank. I'd love to read more.

Then all the better. Multi-meltas have an upper limit in the single-double digit GJ range. Wrong. See Connor's estimates on page 12 of this thread. Not to mention that vaporising 12 cubic metres of ice ( Caves of Ice ) takes something like 20-odd GJ IIRC, and that's just for a meltagun, not a multi...

only problem with that is that SW disruptors aren't NDF. from Wong's SW ground weapons page: Then all the better. Multi-meltas have an upper limit in the single-double digit GJ range. Multimeltas reliably kill 40k tanks. I calced the amount of energy required to vaporize 1/2m^3 of iron a while back...

Bit off the current discussion track here, but... How about we assign all the stormies with disrupters, which is most likely a NDF weapon(if not, then it has ridicioulous firepower in the GJ range). their short effective range(7-12 meters) shouldnt be a factor inside of a building, and their firepow...

Heres a low end estimate of SM supes speed. In that one episode where the russian guy that can control probability comes in. Clark was the quarterback playing a game, a guy was about to tackle him. He ran more than 200 meters at the minimum(halfway across the field, through the doorway, down the hal...

Federation ships can't run into anomalies in the same sense that an Imperial ship would; Fed ships aren't pulled out of warp by gravity wells. Hell, a ship went to warp inside Earth's atmosphere in one of the movies. But for an Imp ship, the anomaly-of-the-week is a real concern. Maybe a hyperspace...

The supernova quote is most definately not proof that SW ships have trouble with such large anomolies. A supernova is relatively diffuse, its gravitational pull is small for such a large volume. A star is an entirely different story. I submit Wraith Squadron where they go into hyperspace travel in d...

the SC, btw, survived a glancing hit from the prototype DS's SL, and the resonance torpedo works against practically anything, it just died out since the prototype DS was mostly framework(still took out a good chunk of the center though).

I seem to recall from one of the books an EM mine of some sort that exploded when ships came out of hyperspace. This would be useful to some extend mining areas where traffic is known to exit hyperspace, but I think it's usesfulness against fleet formations would be pretty minimal. Fleets would not...

I would be curious is a Jedi would be able to stop the projectiles. *ponders* I suppose if it's just a rifle shooting at him, he could always have slight precog and simply put his lightsaber in front of where the projectile is coming, thus destroying the projectile. yes but the said weapon have an ...

to ask a related question, how would jedis fare against projectile weapon armed foes? I'm thinking along the lines of having a combat droid similar to a YVH line designed solely for anti-jedi duties with some kind of machinegun(or its equivelent in SW), and some kind of shotgun(Golan arms fletchette...

Planetary Cannon Range
The essential guide to weapons and technology states that they can only reach into low orbit. Is that due to atmospheric distortions? Or is there another reason? 1. As I understand it, SW jamming is virtually inpenetrable. Active sensors at "close ranges" is the only thing that can penetra...

A droid control ship as in a full Lucrehulk -class battleship or the Lucrehulk -class control core? It seems somewhat ridiculous for a Lucrehulk -class battleship to be outright incapacitated by a single pair of even enormous torpedoes. Incidentally, this supports my suspicions that Star Wars friga...

2. I think Saxton worked out the range at the beginning of the Battle of Endor to be a few thousand kms, also considering that visual targeting is the only reliable method in a high ECM environment to hit anything and that it has been established that ISDs can be seen from a few thousand klicks awa...

I need to ask a few questions for a story debate I'm doing over at SB.com 1. What is the maximum ranges for turbolasers and torpedos, was it WEG that stated 72 million kms? 2. What is the maximum effective range, in cases of heavy jamming, of TLs and heavy torpedos(such as the ones for the acclamato...
