Nah, the engines are just all repulsors, so they don't actually need air intakes.
My idea on Coulson is mostly the Valhalla one, just less "Awesome Asgaardian Warrior" and more "Really fancy Asgaardian Medical Tech"; maybe they stuck him in Odin's magic bed

Re: Game of Thrones Question (Books, Spoilers)
What Terralthra said; though I didn't know it was a theory that was widely spread. I have two friends and one coworker who've read the books, but otherwise I'm not involved in any fangroups.

Re: Humans. Are. Superior.
In the "Only You Can Save Mankind" book, something that was touched on was that humans, unlike the aliens, were warm-blooded. While the book didn't go too deep into, beyond a joke about how much we eat because of it and how we apparently are very excitable and all have ADD compared to the ...

From what I remember of the oBSG, the handguns they used didn't have any beams, so much as spark explosions when they hit Cylons or whatever.

Re: The Deadliest Animated Disney Character.
I'd say Hades from Hercules; immortal god of Death and whatnot. Fireballs and demon/monster summoning should put him in the running, at the very least.

Re: The Big List of SD.Net member skills.
My proffesional skills are mostly useless; customer service, secretarial work and mild accounting, but there are a few things picked up hobbywise. Mildly usefull medieval combat skills, horseback riding (bareback, english, western saddles), very simple carpentry, kayaking. As for untrained talents, ...

I'm sure it's going to be similiar to most the recent games; decently polished mindlessness. If it has Coops, I'll probably end up getting it at some point.

Re: World of Tanks Beta
Been playing for a bit now (handle's BoredOne), and just stumbled into the Tier 3 American tanks (M2 Medium and Stuart). Got to use the Stuart to get my first posthumous kill; rammed another scout and his teammates sent a few rounds straight through me and into him, killing us both. Also, I'd agree ...

Re: Clash of the titans [spoilers]
(what was his name?) Draco was his name. Did anyone else think he was played by The Rock? I thought that for more than a little while in the begining, as did my date. I did quite like Those Two Guys...which is odd, since I really expected them to turn out to be evil. It was a pleasant surprise that...

Re: What could make me think of lava before ROTS?
It may have been one of the old DK visual guides/dictionaries; I believe I had one that talked about Darth Vader having been seriously burned by lava, and needing the suit because of it. Didn't have any visuals to the effect, though.

The worst movie I've ever seen was A.I.. I couldn't even walk out, because I wasn't the one driving.

Re: SD.net: Lords of Darkness (RAR!) Mk-II
I'd say it looks like you're closer to any coal fields than to the iron ores in Detroit, by those maps. Here in PA, though, I'm sitting right on some of the richest iron deposits in the US, and I'm not far from quite a few coal fields either. You're more than welcome to set up shop nearby, though; c...

Re: SD.net: Lords of Darkness (RAR!) Mk-II
The obvious solution would be to develop a railway, connecting one side to the other. Even without steam power, use an ogre or two for power.

Re: SD.net: Lords of Darkness (RAR!) Mk-II
I'd like to throw in with the North American Union, if they'll take me; I plan on inhabiting what would become Cornwall, PA; it'll place me right on what is to this day the largest deposit of iron ore in the U.S., as well as in reasonably proximity to the coal beds to the north. I will bring with me...

Re: Favorite Movies Set Where You Live
Off the top of my head, in my state, there's Boondock Saints, The Departed, Bewitched (I was born in Salem), A Civil Action, and Mystic River, The Crucible, and the absolutely horrible The Covenant.
I also heard that parts of the Saving Private Ryan beach landing were filmed at Hampton Beach.

Re: Bad games that you like anyways?
The one I have (A Nation Divided) it takes a very long time to reload; I haven't timed it before, but it's usually quicker to switch to another weapons or use melee...even if using melee requires you to run across a small field.

Re: Bad games that you like anyways?
The History Channel's Civil War FPS. Granted, I'm a sucker for crappy FPSes, and could agree with any of those already mentioned, but something about this particular one just endears itself to me. Mabye it's the single shot muskets; mabye it's the baynets, sabres and bowie knives; mabye it's that Hi...

I become king of the SCA? In all seriousness, I'd turn over the armor and weapons to the DoD and submit my body to study in the fields of Medical Science, so that others could benefit from knowledge that could be gained (provided, of course, that a bargain is struck and they don't kill me, remove my...

The armor that I'm making with the pickle barrel is based off of a brigadine design; the plates are on the inside, with fabic of some kind on the outside, so I won't have to use any paint or anything. As far as the tabard goes, I've learned that you 'can always cover ugly', as a few vetrans said. As...

Thank you both for your advice, that seems to be a common idea, both from the vetrans that I've spoken too, and just what I was considering to do. I've started assembling my first set of armor, and in doing so I'm making a simple 'coat of plates' out of pickle barrel. While I haven't begun cutting t...

Yeah Malagentia is way up north. I don't get up there, as it's too far a drive from An Dubhaigeainn for even a weekend event. So do you fight? Or still figuring out what you want to do? I'm learning to fight still, sword and board so far. I'm thinking of going spearman, though. As far as the Arts/S...
