Re: D&D: Honor Among Thieves
About the dagger. Are 'Critical hits' still a thing in 5E? Also, "Called Shot" affairs? Do items like the classic 'Vorpal sword' still take beings' heads off in one swipe? Basically, I took away that it was (A) A unique/super weapon of DOOM and (B) Other than going into her head, an actual...

Re: D&D: Honor Among Thieves
The way the trailers have played out, yes, Michelle is the "tough guy/strong guy", and Chris is the comic relief. It also seems the two of them are perfectly platonic the whole movie through. *Nods* Though the whole "He makes plans." Gives me a 'He's the brains of this outfit, S...

Re: D&D: Honor Among Thieves
Gentlemen? Take the Hasbro/WOTC company whining to Gaming or another thread. This is for the MOVIE ONLY. *Bows* I shall, as correctly pointed out, cease and desist. I've liked Chris Pine in pretty much everything I've seen him perform in, and I am pretty sure he'll give his very best. The same for ...

Re: D&D: Honor Among Thieves
Again, may you enjoy your entertainment. That Intimidating and horrifying amount of material was, at least, cross/backwards compatible. 3.x etc was not. It was wholly new, not really improved with myriad bugs etc. Hence the revisions, which couldn't actually fix some of the problems which were built...

Or people who are still mad about the OGL. For my part, Hasbro surrendered, so there's no need to continue the boycott. Hasbro surrendered? Like they changed after their treatment of Judges Guild or Palladium back in the day? Or how they pushed out Gygax, and then the corporate bankers drove the co...

And the druid turning into an owlbear, which is not a thing, owlbears not being natural animals. ;) No, they're not. And thank you, I'd forgotten that bit. But DAMN if it doesn't follow The Rule Of Cool!! Now, if you want to argue "Natural Animal" and assume 'non-intelligent/sapient', the...

Re: Avatar: Way Of Water *spoilers*
I don't think that excuses it, given how IRL PMCs operate and equip themselves. They tend to be ruthless and well-equipped, not mustache twirlingly stupid with gear that barely functions. Hullo. My takeaway is that ALL the characters are moustache-twirlingly stupid. The blue Na'vi for sitting on th...

Re: Avatar: Way Of Water *spoilers*
What I took away from the first movie was that it 'wasn't' the actual Military but a hired mercenary force as the whole thing was an undertaking by a private company. Hullo. Yes, my takeaway from the first movie was that the Bad Guys were just over teched security guards. In this Big Green People m...

So, just adding an idea. One idea is to 'Chill' things down as much as one can while safely home in your own sytem with lots of orbital clutter to hide behind/in before using some sort of auxilary system (Discardable) to boost towards target system. Another idea is finding excess mass and using its ...

Re: Netflix's "Love, Death, and Robots"
Season 2 or simply more would be great. I've heard that Season 2 has been cleared for production. The question is what stories will they use? I've not read many short stories of late dealing with Love, Death, and Robots, so what would you guys like to see? How old a tale was 'Sonnie's Edge'? How ma...

Re: Netflix's "Love, Death, and Robots"
Wathed it. Loved it. As a vehicle to gauge people's interets in what might/should become a whole 'Show' I thik it's great as well. I did love 'Suits' as well. As soon as I saw the way Sonnie's Edge opened with the 'beast in the tank' I knew I'd read the short tale ages ago. To see it visualized and ...

On the other hand, if the gauntlet is ruined it doesn't matter that the heroes are strong enough to beat down Thanos. Punching him in his ballsack chin doesn't solve the problem any more. Sorta depends on whether the Stones are still good. If they are, theoretically they could have Eitri forge a ne...

I am curious as to how the ecosystem is remotely functioning if half of all life died. That's approaching Late Cretaceous levels of mass extinction. Not to mention the total breakdown of society. We should be looking at Mad Max Earth here, basically, outside of maybe Wakanda (which has the tech., l...

Wonderful tale.

"Surrender none."
Much cheers.

If they fit in the plane. Like physically can be moved into the position required. Most WW2 vehicles were a damn tight fit even for normal sized people, hulking metal men are not going to easily go into the small spaces or have much room to move when they're there (which restricts their ability to ...

Hello. :) Been reading along forever. Just a question? How big are the J-J's (Jump Jammers) and their attendant powerplants etc? A thought is as a 'Detatchable' mounted unit. Have an enemy you don't want following you? Drop a J-J pod plus timer/sensors/cloak behind you. You jump. Enemy (Hopeflly) do...

Here's a question: How good are they at flying aircraft? Not well enough to be worthwhile. They can operate basic machine gun turrets though. Zor Yes! Called it!. :D They will make more of the charging stations than the soldiers themselves, because they are portable generators that do not rely on d...

Here's a question: How good are they at flying aircraft? Two hundred fifty kilos for a pilot is a bit much, but not insurmountable, especially if it fixes the issue with no trained pilots. Well... even if they aren't 'Smart'/'Intuitive' enough for fighters. Having them take over a position on bombe...

Re: Counters to Hyperdrive Ramming
There is another example of the "drop out of hyperspace and then ram" variant in Rogue One, where a Star Destroyer was able to drop out of hyperspace with enough precision to ram and destroy multiple rebel ships as they tried to escape into hyperspace. Um.. not quite the way I remember it...
