I call the name: Xbox Infinity. Orsomsuch. Because Infinity is so hip right now.
Also, the Kinect thingy will record you at all times now, so don't go playing Gladiators without your pants on.

Re: War Thunder: a free to play air combat MMO
I don't think it works that way. I've very rarely seen an instance of ninja'ing someone's else's kill. Hey, when there's a single plane with 10 guys/gals on his tail, the outcome will only satisfy one person, leave 9 disappointed and 1 angry. And those times when I was credited with a kill that shou...

Re: War Thunder: a free to play air combat MMO
Are we playing the same game here? Do you play on Arcade or FRB? Before 1.29 I have never seen someone in a fighter taking too many hits. The latest patch nerfed the 20mm cannons, didn't do shit about much else, and some of the planes became much more susceptible to a passing critical shot (flying t...

Re: War Thunder: a free to play air combat MMO
Oh, so a passing burst could ruin your day? Big surprise, air combat isn't about withstanding a barrage of fire, it's about energy management and smart manouvering to get into a position where an enemy can't shoot you, but you can shoot him. I've spent 50+ hours playing fighters in WT and there were...

Re: War Thunder: a free to play air combat MMO
Okay, let me elaborate. Before 1.29, there were some planes that were clearly overpowered. Okay, maybe overpowered isnt the best word - some of the other planes were underpowered and combat didnt seem fair. I spent a great deal of time playing those underpowered planes (US side - mainly because .50 ...

Re: War Thunder: a free to play air combat MMO
It was a very fast, tacticky game where thinking got you rewards, until the 1.29 came out.
They nerfed most of the weaponry so it's a tedious "rid your enemy with bullets" fest.
But hey, nerds whined about OP.

Scribus is a free counterpart to InDesign, so unless you are doing publishing jobs (books/magazines etc.) then you don't need to concern yourself with it.
I find it's interface very clunky, although it's main strength is that it's free, similarly to Gimp.

House of Cards. It only has one season (second one in the making) but boy... it's a helluva show. With Kevin Spacey. Also, Revenge is quite good, also Homeland. I definitely second Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy. Definitely the best shows going right now. I second skipping Girls. The first season ...

It's also very playable. It is funny how much gameplay you can squeeze out of the old "compare two pictures and find 10 differences" concept. This game is a breeze of genius. Check out other games by that guy. Especially Republia Times, which is a very simple game about running a newspaper...

Okay, so whats the bottom line on Star Trek? I've been wondering about this one. I admit, bad gaming press got me scared away from this title but I've been waiting for someone with an opinion to tell me what are it's actual merits and faults.

The original Game Dev Story was a 1996 PC game, so maybe someone will notice. It was later remade for Android.

Re: Best anti-piracy measure ever? (Game Dev Tycoon)
Game Dev Tycoon... oh yeah, now I remember. I played the demo when it was on Microsoft Marketplace a while back. Looks like something that belongs entirely on an iPad. Also, it's a ripoff of Kairosoft Game Dev Story. Of course, devs have been ripping each other before, no big deal. Only these guys d...

Re: XCOM Shooter Returns with Major Makeover
With the previous iteration you actually had a little doubt if it's going to be bad or not, because you couldn't immediately pick out the default playstyle. I for one was wondering how would fighting a black hole in suburbs would look like and that wondering kept me interested in the game. Now, it l...

Natec produces Zander series of keyboards. They are illuminated and with flat laptop-like keys (X-scissors). Im using one at work and I am very satisfied. And they cost... well, pennies. 15 quid should cover it.

Re: BioShock Infinite - Airships and Racism
Oh, since we are on the subject of Infinite, we can also cook up a universe in which Booker becomes Comstock without the river baptism thingy. We only need a world in which river baptisms are outlawed because someone of high profile died as a result of such a baptism. Then just make Comstock reborn...

Re: BioShock Infinite - Airships and Racism
He only doesn't remember things that are convenient for the "shocking revelation" late in the game That isn't actually that much relevant. He probably remembers the event of baptism, but being DeWitt who resigned at the last moment, he just doesn't ascribe any meaning to it. If who Booker...

Re: BioShock Infinite - Airships and Racism
My point is that nonsensical pretentious bullshit like that breaks the suspension of disbelief, which is perhaps one of the worst offences you can commit upon a narrative. It can be retarded or stupid, no big harm in that, as long as it's internally coherent.

Awww boooo-hooo. I am sure they will hand this award next to cash counter. It will in no way affect the sales of the new CoD or SimCity, because idiots will whine but they will still buy it because they are afraid of missing out on a game everybody will play and thus be removed from the "cool k...

Zaune, please. Memtest is good for only one thing: when it actually shows you an error. When it doesn't, you still don't know squat. I've seen damaged RAM chips which could pass all the memtests you threw at them with flying colours.

Soontir... I would really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a few days ago we had exactly the same problem with blurry screen. Swapped out 3 GPU's and nothing. Turned out to be defective RAM.
Hope it's not the case here, since you already ordered the card.

Re: BioShock Infinite - Airships and Racism
The biggest grief I have with the plot is that it pretends to be set in a multiverse, but it's really not. It's timeline is linear up to the point of DeWitt's baptism, where it branches in two directions, and then into more. Which, for me, destroys the suspense of disbelief, because I feel that the...

Re: BioShock Infinite - Airships and Racism
Is it wrong of me to predict pretty much how the story goes and what the big plot twist is? Because it kinda screams at you in the Slate episode. I mean, holy fuck. Dishonored had a more interesting plot line than B:I. And a less predictable plot twist. Shit like that was new (for me) in KOTOR1. Thi...

Re: Can we blame Ando for Far Cry 3
If you honestly don't see what's wrong with a game that is fundamentally designed to become less interesting as you go on, I don't think it's worth trying to explain it. It is wholly predictable and thus there is no excuse whatever (beyond trolling fat people). I said the outpost mechanic in itself...
