Re: Death Star and the Eclipse SSD
The Galaxy Gun missile must have used some kind of trick to get through planetary shields, since it appears to simply pass through them. Once a countermeasure is developed against that (which seems inevitable, otherwise every starship in the fleet would eventually have this trick fitted to it), the...

Re: Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor discussion thread
It's Matt fucking Stover. Didn't he write Shatterpoint? If so, pass. Yes he did. That novel was horrible. Now that I remember, he wrote the EIII novel too. Holy shit did make a mess of it too. Then he shoe horned his damn Vapaad technique into the whole Windu/Sidious battle. So what is this new one...

Re: Clone Wars series (SPOILERS)
Latest episode was pretty good - somehow the Consular -class cruiser/ Republic frigate (the ship at the start of TPM, but with guns on) goes to hyperspace and it's nowhere close to 6 planetary diameters away from the planet - it's apparently in the upper atmosphere. We also see two new kinds of Dro...

Do I have to pick just one? Even worse, with Walden's going out of business, I picked up three new novels. What was I thinking?

Re: Clone Wars series (SPOILERS)
I've been thoroughly enjoying the series. I go in there expecting a half hour adventure in the Star Wars universe. I'm just in the mindset that Anakin and Grevious never actually meet until the bridge encounter in RotS.

Re: Clone Wars series (SPOILERS)
Call me crazy, but I loved the Nebulae scene. It gave everyone something to fly around and maneuver about so it wasn't just a straight shot. Plus it gave us some large space creatures. What was there NOT to love about that!

Re: What is the greatest '80s movie?
Well, I hold all Star Wars movies above everything else. They're not even in the same low end classification as 'movies'. It also isn't fair to consider Indiana Jones. So I will go with 'The Wizard' starring Fred Savage.

Re: Clone Wars series (SPOILERS)
The HoloNet news wasn't too bad. It was interesting to hear. Of course the whole 8,12,17 is bullshit and I'm sure it was thrown in there to make light of everything. I cant' wait to see tonight's episode.

Re: Discussion of Force Unleashed storyline (Spoilers Duh...)
Just a run down, I'm almost finished with the DS version of TFU. The story pretty much follows the 360 version. I finally ran into a few differences. *Spoiler* On Imperial Raxus Prime the core computer is 'sliced' by the Empire to move scrap metal into the canon. The computer essential takes control...

Re: Second Worst Minimalist Author
I had to pick someone, and so help me God my hatred for Kevin J Anderson grows more everyday. When I was still actually keeping up with Star Wars EU he was a dominating force in it's architecture. Just utter bullshit at every turn, squandering the best parts of the timelines, leaving us now only wit...

Kinda lame, it's a kill em both situation. Take option three out leave it with a one or the other. As tough as it is, I'd hang the sex offender. Reasoning being that the violent abuser may be physically and mentally damaging thier child, there's still a chance that the child can come out stronger fo...

There's a bigger issue here and it's with the rural South in general. People live a slower, simpler lifestyle down there. That lifestyle breeds people who lack the hustle and bustle of the more urbanized northerners. I know of a few people who have moved south chasing job offers from comapnies look...
