Re: Disney SW-EU, the old EU with Mickey Ears.
I still think that having a Vader wannabe as the villain in The Force Awakens was actually a bold and valid artistic decision. Darth Vader is widely agreed to have been one of the best villains of modern art history, at least within the SF&F genre. He's powerful, he's scary, his motivations are...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
The thing is that Saxon would have gotten away with it if he didn't decide to be uppity right then and there. He could have had the Jedi, the Darksaber and everything if he decided to just go for Sabine later. EDIT: To be honest, I'm still unclear how the Darksaber is going to help here. I mean, su...

Most of the so called performance uglies like the tri-wing and chir'Dak were less cobbled together but designed from the ground up

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
The potential of the Rebels leaving their base is diminished by the fact that if it weren't for Fulcrum... they would not have known the droid was Imperial and it would've either radioed for reinforcements, went amok and kill everyone and explode, or a combination of both? Seriously it would've bee...

Re: Was Dumbledore utterly incompetent?
It would also be good if they could be disabled. Their ability to suck out souls taken away, their suckers plugged or just severely limit their mobility. Maybe not made harmless, but severely impair their ability to hurt random muggles or unprepared wizards. Has anyone ever tried gluing their mouth...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
It exploded immediately, such that they couldn't tell which of the many droids that had returned had done it afterward. (Also, apparently the droid carried a proton bomb of sufficient power to blow all the way through a Star Destroyer, from the hangar bay to straight out the dorsal armor, or at lea...

All four of them will benefit the kingdom though based on the information presented only the Fop seems to have the ability and the connections to integrate the other threes' ideas into the kingdom

Where Nabooey fighters hyperspace capable? I presume Naboo was a hub for sector or... whatever local systems-level shit and thus was of import and of influence and that's why the TF bothered them. May be not intitially but in Attack of the Clones two are used to escort Padme's ship in the beginning...

Re: How does Rogue One efect the vs debate
The torpedo performance was embarrassing. By all rights, they should have been able to glass the base and everything for a few miles around with that one hit, going off of the old numbers. Unless we presume they were using weaker munitions to prevent collateral damage, which I suppose is possible. ...

On the other hand: --X-Wing and Y-Wing strafing is pitifully powered. A Y-Wing's bomb lands right next to Galen Erso and Krennic. Galen lives long enough for last words and Erso survives. --Death Star uses unique power generations and kyber crystals to ampfly their output. You can't scale directly ...

Re: Was Dumbledore utterly incompetent?
Blunder 1: there really wasn't any way around leaving Harry with the Dursleys as there was ancient magic around that even Voldermort admitted he couldn't get around. Though I agree a check in would have been nice but not really sure what they could have done that wouldn't risk Harry being taken from...

Re: Was Dumbledore utterly incompetent?
Except most of the students who turned on Harry didn't know him personally, only by reputation. Up until book 5 or so he basically only has Ron and Hermione as close friends, with Neville, Ginny and Fred/George on the fringes as friends but not close ones. I was referring to Mrs Wesley beleving the...

Re: Was Dumbledore utterly incompetent?
There were two things that always suggested to me that many Wizards in Harry Potter are incompetent. In book two most of the school for some research feels that Harry is the heir of Slytherin only realizing how dumb that is after his muggle born best friend is attacked. Then we have in book 4 peopl...
