The Transporter wins. He's far cooler than McQueen.

HERESEY!

Heresy? Yes. The truth? Also yes.

Bullit was an awesome flick, but this is the best wheelman, not the best movie...

Bitches please, everyone knows Bandit (Burt Reynolds) is the man. 8)

And Steve McQueen was the real deal! A certified Grand Prix Champion! Not just an actor playing a wheelman, he was the real fucking deal!

please. He had Sally Field riding shotgun for that whole movie and not once did he get a move on, so to speak.

I was actually surprised by how good of a movie that was...

I haven't seen any Steve McQueen movies, so I cannot comment on his skills as a wheelman. I will say that the Transporter demonstrated better driving skills, although Bean Bandit undoubtably had a better car. (You try beating an armored car that can still outrun any and all police road vehicles in use, including a Shelby 350-- while being agile enough to turn on a dime, thanks to its wheelspike "braking system" and its ability to drive sideways.) As for combat skills-- a must-have when you consider how hazardous is a smuggler's job-- I'd have to flip a coin. The Transporter is good at boxing, wrestling, and acrobatics, but Bean Bandit is crazy enough to try to stop an incoming car by ramming his shoulder into it, strong and tough enough to successfully stop this car without suffering from severe injuries, and wearing body armor strong enough to survive multiple hits from a CAR-15 fired at close-range.

Then lets not forget the thing where his jacket is heavily armored enough it broke someone's foot when they dropped it.

Oh and how he took a handgun bullet to the skull at point blank range while only being stupified momentarily (granted his headband is kevlar but still).

Then the part where he was against one car and they rammed him with another car..

Or the bit where he ripped a car door off with his bare hands (after shoving one hand through the door) or ripped the other door off a car by throwing a knife (or sleeping through being stun gunned).

If it comes down to a fist fight Bean will take any of the others apart. He's also got the best car of the bunch. On the other hand the Transporter's driving skills are.. well, nuts.

shiddd Steve McQueen and that mustang will hand the transporters ass to him on a platter. Do you understand that Steve McQueen was the REAL deal. He raced grand prix, drove drunk and fast on public highways and didn't give a shit. The chase in bullitt was actually his own idea because in the original book that the movie is based on the chase didn't happen.

bruce lee: Are you trying to get us killed!!!
Steve McQueen: What's a matter Bruce we both believe in reincarnation.

note the only movie where McQueen played a criminal wheelman was as "Doc" in "The Getaway". Which was more about his "Shotgun Fu" then about driving.

Robert Mitchum. Thunder Road(link goes to Amazon). Outrunning police in a '51 Ford with an obscenely large tank of White Lightning in the trunk (I think it was a 500 gallon tank, but I may be misremembering the number).

Beat that.

The beer was more important! Not to mention he had to be on his guard with Buford T. Justice chasing him. 8)

Who ever did the driving for Ronin deserves this. The man drove a fecking French car and made it look cool.

How about hitting a ramp just right to flip his car and snag the bomb attached to the bottom of it on a crane hook.. and if I remember right he even landed wheels down.
