He opened with an appeal to authority.

Put me down for Stewie making 2 more debate posts, maybe a leaving post.

Hey, Stewie, give us the names of these PHDs you talked too. And why don't you give us some proof of your credentials (especially the military awards) too boot. Because unless you start giving some proof I'm a lot more willing to take Mr. Wong's word on this (who has given his credentials) than yours.

Oh, and by the way, I thought you didn't have time to debate this?

Stewart could be a writer with lots of editorial work to correct the language. He's obviously good in writing fiction. There's just more of the same in this last argument - appeals to authority, bragging, unverified claims, questioning without presenting opposing evidence, attempts to sow dubt, the list goes on. I've met such people before, with such an inflated ego that it virtually bounces off reality. We used to call them "blimps" or air-castle builders.</font>

I liked the part where he claims he spent $800 in gas to drive around and visit all of these unnamed professors.

But the best part was where he claimed that he couldn't release their names because they were afraid of me. If I were a professor and some weirdo really drove a thousand miles to consult me on a question related to an asteroid vapourization in "Star Wars", I know who I'd be afraid of, and it wouldn't be some guy running a website in another country.

Not that any of this happened, of course. It just goes to show how he puts great effort into his lies, but isn't smart enough to make them plausible.

PS. Did any of you catch the part where he claimed he had "hours in Physics?" I almost peed my pants, I was laughing so hard.

Point of fact: the 50km edge of space has its basis in US-Soviet negotiations. We wanted space to start at 50km (so we could have crazy-low altitude recon sats, IIRC) and that came up in some US-USSR talks. This is discussed in Chuck Yeager's autobiography, as he was at the talks.

Yeah, but personally I was far more amused by this line.

Thanks for the info, but you shouldn't spoil Stewart's delusion that it actually defines the strict astrophysical definition of interplanetary space.

Let me get this straight: he couldn't post some of his material because he didn't have a scanner, which you can get for as little as $50 (or you can have the local Kinko's scan your shit in for much less), but he can afford $800 to drive around interviewing people for an entertaining hobby?

Also, "hours in physics"? Jesus fuck, I've got hours in physics and math as part of my social science degrees. Most college students will, thanks to basic university requirements*. Thankfully, most of them aren't stupid enough to presume this makes them knowledgable on those subjects.

*Not that I'm assuming Stewie's actually made it to the hallowed halls of anything except Special Ed. I don't think he's dyslexic, I think he just types like shit because he burned his fingers picking cigarette butts out of ashtrays during his "vocational education" classes.

The only way that a very busy professor will speak to somone they don't know is if they are blonde 6'4 and (male professor) 46" accross the chest and (female professor) someone built like a lifesaver :). Sadly I don't talk to many professors (related to a professor of psychology she might help stewart...) and I doubt stewie does either...

and trained in H2H please!!! dont tell us anything about your hands Stewart!

Oh Lordy, Mike. I gotta confess, I was a little worried when one of your replies seemed to consist only of one insult, "Dumb-ass."

Certainly, this latest post is one of the most inspired I have ever seen in your many debates. I'm tempted to call this one the most entertaining yet, thanks to Stewie's, erm, creative interpretation of reality and your posted reactions.

While I do hope this continues, I fear it may be nigh impossible to top.

Holy fuck! This is simply too hilarious to be true. Im amazed by Stewies capability to produce self-contradictory bullshit and appeal to authority on a matter where that very authority proves him wrong.

This professor friends thing was also hilarious. He asks his opponent to provide all relevant information of the REAL experts he talks with, but then Stewie himself fails to give a single piece of information about the professors he has consulted. Fucking hilarious.

And now Stewie once again brags about his fighting skills. I have noticed that those who most brag about their fighting skills are skinny little children who need to compensate for their incapability by giving themselves fictious fighting skills when in reality they have none. And ofcourse its so cool to make himself look like the Master at HtH combat when its so cool in movies

Stewie, seriously, get the fuck lost if you cant start producing something that doesnt stink like a lie before anyone even reads it, and icant start providing some actual proof for your bullshit.

I enjoy this part:

Quote:
There were three detonations that the AEC and DoD concidered to be in space as they defined it.

Seems to me that he's assuming that if someone "official" defines a certain altitude as "space" and he uses that definition, every other definition of where "space" starts automatically becomes invalid. :P

It also shows his schoolboy mentality:

"Space starts at this altitude."
"Nu-uh! My experts say that space starts lower than that! They're right, and you're wrong because they're better than you and you smell of poo!"

I'm beggining to understand Mike's comments about anal sex

I mean, with all the people that have come around here like Stewart practically begging him to be ass-raped...

I mean, this guy is so sad, it's funny.
800 miles of driving to win a star wars debate, when he lacks a freaking scanner.
Anyone know how much gas that would take? Vs just getting a scanner and checking out some library books.

Oh wait, the books would all disagree with him.

Stewart, can I point something about
The amount of distance you hand travelled up and down your dick during masturbation doesn't count as driving to see experts
You taking 2 weeks to respond SCREAMS of how long you were grounded for.
8 experts? 8. Isn't that the size of your typical special education class?

Stewart, grow a brain. This is not some piss-ant high school board. This is a board populated (with a few exceptions) largely by college education people. Mike Wong has a degree in engineering from one of the best schools in north america.
Here, if you make a claim, you have to back it up WITH DETAILS.
For example, if I was in a debate about computers, and someone said 'whats' your background', I'd tell them, so they can verify it. Mike has done that?
Have you?
Nope.
All you have done is posted a mailing address for people to send money too.

If you want people to believe your claims of education, treat this like a job interview, and post your fucking resume.

You know, stuff like
Name of School(s) you were educated at, years you attented, the phone number to call said schools, years attended, courses taken.

When you post your information, treat it like an essay, and post your sources.

I'm probably wasting my 'breath', but hey, it's fun to bash you.

Judging by the quality of your posts, just going on spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and word choice, would put you in about Grade 9, as an upper limit. More likely, your are a 9 - 12 year old, that reads alot of badly written/researched science fiction.

Go ahead and waste your time. We all find it rather amusing.
