Make a military dictatorship out of the UFP and build huge fleets of dedicated warships, while scrapping/refitting most, but not all of the science fleet.
Screw that commie thing, make it a good old capitalistic society again.
Expand aggressively. This will take several years, I'd estimate about 6 or 7.
Once the fleet is ready, add cloaks to all vessels.
With such a fleet, the Federation should be equipped for the challenges yet to come (apart from the empire).

Hmm yeah there will quite a lot of people have to be put down:
the Voyager crew, all those highly indoctrinated people like Picard, the
former political officers (aka counsellors) like Troi, etc.
Oh and of course unallowed intrusions by empaths in people's mind are punished with death as well, as are disobeing orders from a superior, murderer, kidnapping, and treachery, which will also include defecting colonies.
Just to make one thing clear I'm not fascist, I'm democratic as far as my political ideology is concerned in real life, but if I came to power, I would of course rule with an Iron fist, to preserve my power.

It might not hurt to encourage private enterprise, open stock exchanges and found the Federation Central Bank. Entertainment networks would also be a good idea.

Then, it might be time to found the Federation Marine Corps, as well as the Federation Ground Combat Force. Suitable practical weapons, tactics and vehicles would of course have to be produced for their use. Nothing too extreme, but practical stuff.

Earth and all other major Federation worlds should then be suitably protected against attack from space, with a dedicated Home Fleet branch of Starfleet responsible for providing that protection. Orbital defense networks, orbital forts and Home Fleet starships should all be integral parts of Home Fleet.

The standard Starfleet arsenal should certainly be supplemented by shuttlepod-sized sublight fighters and shuttlecraft-sized warpfighters.

In a similar vein, Starfleet will have to proceed with the building of dedicated diplomatic cruisers and purpose-built warships, as well as such classes as troopships, fighter carriers and colony support cruisers.

Private shipyards should also be encouraged, capable of producing private pleasure craft, private shuttles and runabouts, passenger liners, small freight haulers, cargo cruisers and other similar vessels. In wartime, civilian craft can be drafted into military support service, and in peacetime the civilian craft will take much of the pressure off Starfleet, as well as providing impetus for improvements in starship design.

Using Mars as the first, a series of strategically sited fortress systems will be established throughout Federation territory. Each such fortress system is built around a rockball of a world like Mars, not worth terraforming into a colony world. These fortress worlds include shipyard facilities capable of producing fighters, shuttles and small starships, with certain fortress worlds equipped with more extensive shipyard facilities. Each fortress world also includes academies and other training facilities for marines, soldiers and fleet personnel. Groundside manufacturing facilities provide steady supplies of armaments for military needs. The defense of the fortress worlds include fleets of fighters, orbital forts and defense satellite networks, and shielded groundside fortresses with massive weapon loadouts.

Each fortress system also has at least one class M world with varied environmental conditions, and that world is used for troop training and other purposes. Military family housing, hospital facilities, long-term care facilities, retiree communities, R&R facilities and any other facilities that will benefit from an amenable environment are housed there, protected by yet more orbital forts and defense satellite networks. The class M environment and biosphere also secure natural food supplies for the military garrison.

The remainder of the fortress system is suitably protected by sensor platforms, strategically placed orbital and groundside forts, and roving patrols of fighters.


All underdeveloped worlds within Federation territory will be placed under the authority of the Federation Development Authority. Under the auspices of the Federation Development Authority, underdeveloped worlds will be carefully brought to a level of development sufficient for the inhabitants to interact with Federation society and apply for membership. Worlds deemed sufficiently developed are given the choice of applying for membership, beginning with associate status. Those worlds that decide against membership are released from the authority of the Development Authority but are compelled to neutrality, preventing the founding of Klingon or Romulan worlds inside Federation space.

While's that's going through, we convert our ships to a more realiztic style. Warship and science vessel. Considering the amount of shit that's happened to the Feds, I think this would be very important.

First of all I would ally with the Romulans and declare war on the Klingons. Making the Klingons bleed themselves white fighting. Then after the Roms are gone, attack the Klingons and wipe out all of them so as to avoid ground combat.

Then Build up the fleet to include pure warships. Make exploration a civilian thing, reinstate capitalism, build up home defence fleet and fixed defences. Then crush all remaining races in the quadrant.

Then do what ever you can to make contact with the Empire.

Put more medical vessels and research facilities out. Alliance with the Romulans, and put at least 10 percent of the Fed science departments into breaking the warp ten barrier so I can have a Galaxy-X Class Flagship and I can say. "Let's get out of here, warp 15."

Scrap the prime directive and make more flexible directives that aren't absolute and aren't stupid. Make it into a Free market, make currencey, stop the pussification of men, build up the fleet, make new branches of the military such as the department of the army and maine corp, etc. Don't take shit from the Romulans, or Kilingons, or anyone for that matter, including a primitive people that would help milllions and are holding it from us. Ask why most of the aliens look like humans. Yeah even if that ancient race did dpread seeds of life, programmed to end up one way but in reality mutations results from evolution would make it so that this code wouldn't matter didly shit.
