What are the reasons YOU hate Trek/Wars?

I'll be brief with my ideas, but you'll get the point. What reason do YOU have for hating trek and/or wars? Ive got my own personal grudges against both, as do us all Im sure (ex. a warsies might hate technobabble, but also hate JKA). Lets start with Trek, my all time foe since post-TNG era (and i didnt really care for TNG either....):

1.) B&B, for single handedly destroying that which is Trek.Way to go fellas!
2.) B&B
3.) Tecnobabble, useless, nonsensical, supposedly "technicly applicable" string of words someone found in the alphabet soup.
4.) DS9, a bunch of hokey religions and ancient species, nothin beats a good Kirk by your side.
5.) Voyager, a pile of dung with labels around it like "Alien threat of the week" and "Female Captain Hyped up on cofee beans, and canned marshmellows." And "super uber advancment of the week." ie trans torps, delta flyer, technobbable, transwarp, whatever.
6.) Enterprise, horrible acting (i preferred him on quantum leap for sure),total destruction of what is continuity, strangly advanced tech for pre-TOS era, hidden under a veil of low techness, ie grappling hooks, low yiled torps, low range warp ect. With advancments like touch screens, advanced holographic systems, and a camera that can see clear detail on a persons face from orbit! same "alien/tech/crisis of the week basis too.
7.) Klingons, from enemy super-power to feral viking assholes (read mike wongs "brain bugs" page for details).
8.) Borg, from techno scavengers to zomblies wiht the tactical prowess of spam (read mike wongs "brain bugs" page for details).
9.) TNG forward eras "peace loving" communist society, how teribble that was.
10.)Holodeck, the system thatll never be takin out no matter how many people it kill sor injures, after all its just an exhorberant waste of time, energy, and power right? wheres the harm in that!
11.)Species-8472, Uber powerful, "millions" in number if we belive dialouge, and yet they flee after losing what? 5-6 ships? any one else see soemthing wrong here?
12.) Transporters,do they kill you? do your spirit live on? all viable questions.
13.) SFs lack of a ground army.

Ok, theres more things id like to say but ill get SW outta the way now, now mind you i dont hate SW, these are things i hate ABOUT it though..

1.) Jar-Jar, annoying, idiotic, war starting flopping eared character put into TPM to appease cristics.
2.) Ewoks, annoying, idiotic, furry creatures put into ROTJ to give us a reason to laugh at stormies. This gnome is NOT amused.
3.) KJA, nuff said
4.) besides KJA, a considerable amount of poorly written, contradictory, and all around painful to read stuff (like NJO ).
5.) Rebel Propaganda, "evil" Empire, ect.
6.) Yuuzhan Vong, Yuuzhan Vong, Yuuzhan Vong...FUCKIN SCREW THE DAMN YV! WE WANT IMPS ASSHOLES! and theres my exercise for the week.
7.) did i mention i hate the YV?
8.) Super weak TIE propaganda, i know i already metioned this, but this paticular case deserves special notice.

Thats all i can think of at the moment, reasons i hat Trek, and things i hate about Wars. Feel free to elaborate on your ideas

Hate is too stong of a word for things in Trek/War. But there are things that annoy me to no end.

** Star Trek TNG **

1) Brain Bugs like exploding consoles.
2) The first few season where all they talked about was 'human condition'
3) Klingons charging into battle with melee weapons. Federation troops that
have trouble stopping them. Can you say Shotgun? Grenade? Wide beam
phaser?
4) I never noticed the techonobabble so much until I came here. Now its on my list.
5) No body armor during combat. Even a simple kevlar jacket from 2002 would help cut down on injuries from hurtling chunk of Captians chair.

** Star Wars **

1) Jar Jar Binks - Why?
2) Destroying ships or stations by hitting that one critical spot theme.
Was cool the first time, but not after.
3) The whole, there was no father for Anakin thing.

Disclaimer, I have not watched AOTC yet. I lost interest in the movies after TPM.

Picard: Lets have a meeting. Then we'll ask them really nicely ...

2)Why the F*ck does the shps councilor sit on the bridge next to the Captain??????

3) Those damn "I hope it was all worth it ..." speaches that Sisko gives.

4) All self-destructive habits, eg. smoking, have been eliminated, but Janeway has a smokers voice!!!

5) Synthhol.

6) Doctors can't tell their arse from their elbow without a tricorder.

7) The rabid "Trek=God" fans.

Trek:

Having great technology but NEVER using it intelligently.

Having great technology that is constantly foiled by the most mundane circumstances, requiring silly technobabble to overcome when all that was needed in the first place was better design.

Character shields.

Inconsistencies.

Wars:

The Empire and their inability to get the job done ala Endor.

Jedis/Siths (but mostly Jedis) that NEVER use thier powers intelligently.

Walking tanks. Why would anyone want to have a walking tank? Better still, why wouldn't anyone create trenches in front of the walking tanks to stop them?

Trek:
1.All intelligent life forms are humanoid...Is Trek being biased on other forms of intelligent life? Take the dolphin..what if there's an advance species of it across the galaxy? They did a fish, squid ,or some sort..but it was weak and lame looking and it was humanoid too. The Mon Calamari looked better.
2. Warp Core is exposed without armor or any plating that'll prevent it from sabotage.
I guess that's it.
SW:
1.Jar JAr...everybody hates him...so why even bother?
2.Generators in the Trade Federation Battleship was exposed SOO MUCH IN THE HANGER BAY THAT EVEN AN 9 YEAR OLD CAN SABOTAGE THEM!!!!
3.Not much dogfights, and ship to ship combat.

1) Picard, strangely enough. I watch once and just go "oooh, Patrick Stewart's voice.... ooooh...." Then I watch again, and it's total crap and I have to turn it off during his first soliloquay.
2) Technobabble, 'nuff said.
3) Damn stupid casting for the "sex symbol" I mean, Riker...ew! and what the hell were they thinking of when they cast Paris? were they thinking "yeah the ladies will like this,"? If so, they were completely barking up the wrong tree. Harry Kim is much better looking, and a hell of a lot nicer. SUre I can't imagining him wandering through the Delta QUadrant having the affair of the week, but I'd take him over Paris any day.
4) Janeway.
5) Deanna Troi
6) Worf. He's such a spoiled little brat that I want to just hit him, except then he'd get peeved and put me in one of those
7) crappy brig cells. As though you use force fields and not bars.
In STFC, they have a force field for a WINDOW, for christs sake! What if a circuit blew, and the force field went off? Is it acceptable for the entire room to be depressurised? What if someone's in there? WHat if the door's open?
9) In what's it called, the episode after "Best of Both WOrlds", I hate:
a) Everything about it.
b) the whole "I was traditional and didn't like progress, so I became a farmer" schtick. Are they saying that farmers aren't progressive? If farmers hadn't been progerssive, finding new ways to cycle the crops, new ways to harvest, new ways to irrigate, etc etc, we'd still have a sunsistence economy.
10) Vulcans (except for the eternally cool Spock and his eternally funky father).
11) The way Picard almost starts a war EVERY time he encounters the Romulans, yet Starfleet still insists on sending the Enterprise out to patrol the Neutral Zone.
12) Chakotay's damn spirit quests.

And as an interesting aside, I actually like the Enterprise theme song. I don't know why, I just do. I watch the show just for the song, I think sometimes.

Wars:
1) Binks

4) Luke
5) Vader's such a pussy. (on occasion)

Everything wrong with trek can be summed up by the words "Our balls fell off Syndrome."

Example:
TOS: Federation covers more than 1,000 planets and the Enterprise can destroy every city on a major planet in under an hour. Captain is aggressive and blows stuff up that disturbs him.

Modern Trek: Federation covers more than 150 planets and the Enterprise cannot destroy a 2 km asteroid without exhausting it's supply of torps. Captain is wimpy and talks to his counselor about stuff that disturbs him.

In other words, between TOS and TNG the Federation's Balls Fell Off.

TOS: Klingons are crafty SOBs who like to shoot you in the back with Disruptors, but they have an honor code and can be trusted to a degree.

Modern Trek: Klingons are morons who attack from the front with melee weapons and only pay lip service to their bizarre honor code.

Original Ferengi: Blew up Picard's first ship, two were able to beat up Worf hand to hand, they kidnapped Picard's "Son" and nearly blew up the enterprise with a cunning gambit, aggressive and intelligent species who look for the profit in any situation and try to come out ahead.

Modern Ferengi: Dumb as Rocks, weak as Kittens. Their entire homeworld would be conquered by Ghengis Kahn's troops in under a year, with 99% of the time spent travelling since he would be on horseback.

The same is true of the Borg, first badass, later pathetic.

Ditto S8472, though thanks to the magic of B&B they went from dangerous and intelligent species to cannon-fodder morons in a couple episodes instead of a couple seasons.

Romulans aren't stupidified yet, that will probably happen in Nemesis though.

Anyway that pretty much sums up the problems with Trek. Their Balls keep falling off.

The other big fault with Trek is hte lack of continuity and cannonicity of their books, they are all about as legitimate as Fan-Fiction and that totally wrecks Trek in my opinion, books are the best part of a universe.

Wars has a similar problem, unfortunately. The New Republic is rather pathetic, it would probably get snowed by TOS-era Trek. As mentioned, KJA writes books that make some Fanfiction look clever. Darksaber played havok with Wars. I actually think Jar Jar has an important purpose planned, specifically I suspect Annakin is going to waste him. Annakin is bound to kill some main character to show how evil he is, who's a better choice than Jar Jar? As noted, Wars messes up continuity sometimes by failing to use technology from books, comics, etc. in Movies. It's not particularly respectful to continuity to turn Boba Fett into a Clone and ruin tons of comics showing he used to be a Stormtrooper.

I don't hate either one. It's fanatical Trekkers, Trekkies and especially Warsies I don't like.

Frankly I'm getting a bit sick of the Enterprise bashing, at least on the story side, it's the first season, every show's first season pretty much sucks. TNG's first season sucked, DS9's first season really sucked, Voyager's first season had some neat battles between Voyager and the Kazon and introduced some okay species other than that it sucked. (Voyager got somewhat better, but not much and regressed several times) Firsts of anything are not all that good, just look at A New Hope and Phantom Menace, compared to the movies that follow them they suck, big time.

Anyways I don't see why people hate the ewoks. I think it was better than if they had been wookies. The Emporer, the great founder of the empire, destroyier of the republic. A Genius. And I think that if you did a survey of all girls, I think you'd find that none of them liked Luke. (Perhaps there might be a few exceptions, but if you divide any number by infinity, you're still going to get something so close to zero that it makes no difference.
