Any other converts? WHY did you convert?

I used to think the Feds would kick the Empires ass. After reading Darth Wong's famous site, and doing some hard thinking, I reversed this opinion.
I'm such a sucker for logic and a well reasoned arguement!

The energy levels needed to do certain things, (like explode a planet, or vapourise a cubic kilometer of asteriod.) are what convinced me. What convinced you to join the Empire, Citizen? I don't want to hear from those who were always loyal citizens, crowing "I told you so, I told you so"

I consider myself a fence walker. Both sides are great. Itsjust that most people here are pro-Empire so I'm going to argue for the Federation more.

I never really "converted", I just accepted higher numbers for SW speed, firepower, and fleet size after reading Wong's site.

I never really doubted the Empire would dominate the Federation, but its an unfair scenario to begin with. Its like pitting a totalitarian-US against Switzerland.

How many US Citizins are trained to use Assult Rifles and Waging Urban Warfare
The Swiss are very quiet about the fact they have the lowest crime rate/murder rate, thief rate in the world. And imgiration well.
OUCH Easier to get into Isreal than it is Swiztierland
(No lie I'll find the site if you need it but every home in Switzierland has a goverment issued Assult Rifle, Depending on when you are auto-enlisted is when they give it to you and you spend the six months learning how to use it and fight)
Untill 1854 I belive(I think I finaly got the date right) The swiss were paid a few million each year to prevent Swiss Mercnarys from Hiring themsleves out to other Countrys.

If you said US VS France I'd give ya that

But the Swiss?

Funny, that's how it's supposed to be in the US. But no, now we have huge standing armies during peacetime and the government doing all they can to repeal the second amendment and disarm the civilian populace...

I've always been of the opinion that Imperial weaponry and such is greater than the Federation's, but mostly because I managed to see through Star Trek's "Flash without substance" approach. They dress up all their gadgets to look pretty, with LCD's and strips of blue lights everywhere, and they give these gadgets fancy-shmancy names. But when it comes down to it, these gadgets are nigh on useless in nitty-gritty conditions ("Captain, our tricorders don't work because Geordi just farted, and it shorted out their circuits!").
