Inspired by Chris Kempshall's The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, myself, Surlethe, Phongn and Ray243 wrote a few in-universe academic articles and have hosted them online at https://thejournalofthewhills.org/.
These follow a malleable canon policy, and are based primarily on personal interpretations of Star Wars.
In commemoration of the May the 4th, an article has been posted on the TIE Fighter, and another article on the X-Wing will be released tomorrow at 1200 BST.

Re: The Journal of The Whills
Appreciate you posting this link. The writing style is very pleasant. More and more as time goes on, I enjoy proper integration of canon and non-canon, often contradictory even within its own continuity, into something approaching a coherent timeline. Much more interesting of a read than rigid interpretation that treats every boneheaded author or showrunner like the word of God.
Anyway, I'll keep this page bookmarked, I think. Maybe I'll create something like it myself one day. Thank you.

A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Re: The Journal of The Whills
I'll keep that offer in mind, but I'm afraid I have a pretty specific interpretation of Star Wars, and it doesn't play nice with others. I'll revisit my library and see what's adaptable, though.

Re: The Journal of The Whills
There's room for differing interpretations - part of the conceit is "this is being collated far in the future" - but fair enough; I'd be interested either way.
