I'm not sure they're that controllable. They're effectively like poison gas; you don't get to decide the exact limits of their zone of effect, and they don't have a firmly defined blast radius without some very strange and sophisticated (bulky) hardware.

You limit the area by sealing it off. That way, the only areas to go boom are the ones that are either contested or held by the enemy.

I... think the stuff doesn't pass through walls, although it's hard to be entirely sure.

Also, if you're on the offensive it may be hard to ensure airtight seals around a room or corridor you intend to storm. If the defender has control of the ventilation system (or the ability to just shoot holes in all the walls), you may not be able to be sure the zephyr particles won't get around into your own area.

If you're using them offensively, then you be sure to scatter enough that if they fire they blow up a large chunk of their ship. :mrgreen:
