^Definately sounds in-line with regional healthcare in New South Wales. The country university town I grew up in north of Tamworth had two, count 'em, two private O&Gs for the area. When my dad pulled up stops in '96 and moved us to Tassie, having pissed off too many people in the health department, the other O&G lasted about eighteen months by himself before having a heart attack and dying. There still are no private O&Gs in town, they have VMOs at the hospital, or travel 100km to Tamworth.
