Lots of hard work. But really, that's my rig and baggy ACUs that are making me look so festively plumb, mainly I got a ACU blouse with sleeves too long so they puff up higher on the arms.

Maybe it's beergut. I don't know. I get that a lot. While I'm within the parameters of being not overweight (W 77 Kg, H 1.76 m, age 36), there's this bit of flabbiness around my waist I can't seem to get rid of. I blaim beer (which does not mean I'm foing to quit drinking it anytime soon. Hell, this is Mexico! Coronas, Victorias, Indios, Sols et al are domestic here! )

Hah! Now there is a research lab! Cables dropping down from the ceiling, custom machined ugly pieces of sheet metal, electronics sticking out of breadboards that look like they were made in the seventies and probably were... that's what always gets me about movies and television. The labs shown in it make it clear that they've never stepped foot in an actual lab. It's not a physics lab until half the shelves are filled with old electronics cards, vacuum flanges that you don't use, and at least two burned out oscilloscopes.

Actually, the entire lab dates back to no later than the late '90s; the accelerator ring I'm standing in the middle of wasn't completed until about five years ago. It got ugly fast, though I can't take credit- it was like this when I got here.

The lab I work in looks similar (I'll take a photo) and was started in early 2000s. It still looks like half the electronics is from the 70s due to the plethora of custom electronics on bread boards and metal bits and cables hanging everywhere. A good lab should feel entropy much more strongly than the surrounding universe.
