1.) X is Dead.

3.) X is severely wounded, but will live
4.) X is wounded, but beat off his assassin
5.) X wasn't even in the place, and is leading the resistance from a superbunker.

etc.
I know the leader of the sunshine council is dead and that's all I've established in the thread. For the rest of I've pretty much established that Indhopal is having a hard ass time of finding out what is going on through fragmentary sources. Seeing as I'm a full fledged ally in of Japanistan I'm sure there are factions in the government that could feed me more information and my spies get to walk around at least a bit because they would have regular meetings with Japanistan's spies.

In fact I'm going to put it out there that I found out about the the head of the council dieing because one of his aides phoned an Indhopoli friend (who is an ISIA agent' befriending people with access to high officials is in their job description)before before getting ganked.

Edit: Sorry for what basically turned out to be a triple post here. Lonestar, unless you want me to start making up details for this coup of I would appreciate it if you could provide some so I can figure out what my spies could realistically know and then make a plan of action based on that.

Edit: Yes I am planning on intervening in the Japanistan mess but how that happens really depends on the exact nature of the coup itself.

Hey Stas, could one of Premier Shady and Comrade Stanislav's predecessors in the 50s-60s CSR be a Premier STANISLAV SHROOMANSKI?

Any serious coup involves taking over the comms network or turning it off totally. That's what doomed the Valkyrie plotters, they were unable to totally take over the communications network in germany, other than them being amateurs.

And the leader of a coup prone nation wouldn't install a secret phone line or two in his offices? Its entirely possible that he would. and it hardly looks like this coup lotters aare having sweeping success anyway so their comms takeover could certainly be incomplete at times.

It should be noted that I've never said I know what exactly is going on in Japanistan; in fact I've said that my boys so far are having a hard time figured out who exactly is involved.

I've sent warnings to the MESS and CATO not because I think they are behind the coup but because Indhopal doesn't trust hose nations as far as it can throw them and I don't want them to take advantage of the current internal chaos in Japanistan.

Yep. There's...five Vineyards astronauts on Pioneer roster, I think. And there's gonna be a lot more: frankly, while I don't have detailed rosters for all programs run by FASTA, there's probably more than 150 astronauts on FASTA payroll. I'd imagine similar for the MESS.
I don't know who the MESS has on payroll since that would be military spaceflight only however the MSA includes several non-MESS members and needs quite a few astronauts. I calculated that for the entire run of the Daedalus, Pegasus, Thesues, and Icarus programs there are 460+ slots available for astronauts. Assuming 2 launches each as the average (Meadow will probably end up with 5 but many with only 1) I would need between 230 and 250 astronauts over the 2012-2032 time frame.

It doesn't have anything in F-ing, but it does have a close ally who has holdings that are legitimately threatened.

Whose are those, Beowulfs? And why don't you then deploy a contingent to Tian Jiao instead of harassing the NFT?

We(The OD) routinely deploy troops for exercises in Tian Jiao, for those of us who are keeping track.

For the record the first manned mission to do a flyby on Mars is currently scheduled for Q2 of 2022 which will be the Icarus 8 mission on an Ares VI booster. The first landing on Mars is tentatively scheduled for Icarus 11 in Q3 of 2028 unless we finish perfecting out Nuclear powered ion drive in which case we may go as early as Icarus 10 in Q2 of 2026.

Pezook and Prime Minister Shroom get the BAMF of the month award for this line;
"WHORES!!! COME HERE AND BLEED FROM YOUR MILKBAGS! CUNTS FOR EYES!", the mighty roar echoed, briefly drowning out the sound of the helicopter's rotor. A human silhouette appeared from the smoke and debris littering the tunnel entrance, walking straight towards the helicopter as if Death itself came to finally claim its passengers.

Thanks! I do try, and it looks like we're about to finish this thing in a (continuation of) orgy of blood and violence. And as long as even two people read it and like it, it's all been worth it :D

Interesting fact:
Did you know that Prime Noir is 102 pages long? It's true! And that does not include Interlude!

Truly this is a great work of art (full of typos and tense errors and spotty characterization, but making up for that in pure AWESOME!)

This is what SDNW2 needs, this is what SDNW2 deserves. Seriously, this is one of the reasons why I'm totally content with "retiring" from the whole STGOD SDNWorlding thing - because everything that's happened in both SDNWs 1 and 2, and now this, leaves me heartily fulfilled.
