An Irony of the Posleenverse

Post by Zor »

We all know that the Posleen series of books are generally a bunch of right wing America Fuck Yeah (at best) type propaganda, however, this ignores a country which is best geared to fight the Posleen for its size, said country is...

-Militarized to a ridiculous level as is, with one person in twenty serving in its army.
-Makes most of its equipment and spends a very large chunk of its economic output to make weapons for its bloated military.
-Sighted in cold mountainous terrain, where Posleen formations would be immobilized and freeze to death, as well as being vulnerable to choke points. This would also nicely handle any Feral Posleen born in that area.
-Has a Population used to dealing with limited food resources.

And here is it's flag

That's right, the Posleen would die in droves if they tried to take Best Korea.

Hmmm...

The North Korean system is, for some measure of the term, "working" these day - in peacetime.

How resilient would it be in time of Total War ? Wouldn't it be quickly driven to attrition under the pressure of permanent assaults and crumble of exhaustion ?
