That looks like it could be neat, especially if they really expand on the idea of government agents wearing masks as part of their role, as opposed to the government's weird outsourcing of stuff to people like The Comedian.

Intriguing.

Did anyone else notice the redesigned American flag? I think that's new; I didn't see anything like that in the original comic.

Draped on the coffin? Interestingly in other scenes the regular flag is shown. Could it be a special PD flag?

Couple points:

--I could have sworn I saw Dan Dreiberg's Owl-mobile.

--On a newspaper near the start, the headline is "Veidt Declared Dead". Presumably then this is a sequel to the events of Watchmen, possibly well after.

There is clearly enough some sort of gang, either vigilantes or criminals (I can't tell which without subtitles), emulating Rorschach; in turn, the cops start wearing masks.

Perhaps after the disaster of Ozymandias' attack on New York, they start looking up to the superhero era again? Night Owl, Spectre and Rorschach's brief activity during the events of the original Watchmen comic couldn't have made -that- much of an impression, outside of Rorschach's arrest, which was headline news.

I think it's going to be a bit of a mix of flashback and present-day, given that the opening pretty much straight up has Hooded Justice in person, and IIRC he died/vanished shortly after the original superhero gang broke up.
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

Obviously Veidt isn't dead, as he's the old man in the scenes, isn't he?

If we're thinking about the same old man... Veidt wasn't African-American.

I also wonder if they're going to have more Tales of the Black Freighter references?

Think she means Jeremy Irons
The trailer gives no sense of what it's actually about besides mask against mask, and masks are bad

I guess the first question would be if this integrates anything from Before Watchmen or Doomsday Clock.
