thrawn trilogy

Post by Sith God »

i think the empire is a strong force. I would say that after rtoj they still maintain cloning facilities for stormtroopers and pilots and possibley other naval crew men. The idea of dreadnaughts was sort of neat but why would they need them didnt this take place 5 years after jedi? what happened to the 25,000 or so isd's the eu keeps talking about. Remember is took centuries for the roman empire to fall.

My guess is that most of the SD were not destroyed by the Rebels, but by the Imperial infighting.

Yes but after the battle of Endor, the Empire had so many civil wars, that when those wars were over,The Empire only had a few thousand ISD's.

I'm not quite certain about this, since it's been about 200 years since I picked up a KJA book, but Darksaber addresses the utter patheticness of the Imperial fleet camped out in the core.

Eventually Daala just kills them all.

Only pathetic compared to what it had once been my friend.

As to the Imperial fleet, there is a little discussed event called the Imperial Mutiny that took place in DE2, when the Emporer just sat back and allowed the Imperial commanders to kill each other off, leaving him with the strongest and most vicious.

It's too bad that the Emperor created a system without a clear successor incase both he and Vader died...

The Emp was arrogant, and with the clones he might never have died. I'm sure he didn't really care about a galaxy without himself in it.

Oh he was bad, I don't doubt that. But I think he might have been a necessity.

Maybe the Emp was good at first, then decided to use the dark side to accomplish his goal of restoring order and then went bad. Ultimate power corrupts ultimately after all.
