I'm pretty sure it's alluding to the fact that the Aperture Science ship the Borealis is apparently going to be a major plot point/location in the next Half-Life game. You can see the Aperture Science logo inside the logo, faintly brighter than the black background. Put the picture in an image editing program and turn up the brightness to see it better, I guess?
I'm pretty sure this isn't a hoax, but it could be!
