I find it highly unlikely that Russia has blackmail material on Trump because that would require them to know something Trump is afraid of having made public. Trump seems to believe he could murder people in cold blood and rape a baby on live television without negative personal consequences, and all indications are that he is right. Hard to imagine what they could have that's so bad they could successfully threaten him with it.

Donald Trump hates being made a fool of, and he hates being embarrassed. He also has the required number of synapses to be aware that the IRS would go to town on him if he were discovered to not have given them their cut.

As horrid as it is, perving on 16 year olds is something society just sort of does/i], so his comfort with bragging about it makes sense. Golden showers, however, are widely regarded as "deviant" behavior that he knows would harm his social standing. His rather extreme reaction to the allegations shows that he does not want to be associated with golden showers, or look like he's "weak" and getting blackmailed.

With the original Al Qaeda defunct, it is far from obvious that there's anyone actually planning terrorist attacks on that scale against the US. Al Qaeda basically succeeded in reaching Step Two of their plan, although they as an organization didn't survive to see it happen.

Thing is, Step Two wasn't to just hit the US harder than in Step One. It was to bring about the rise of a mass of movements scattered widely throughout the Islamic world, all of which adopt radical Sunni views and all of which are violently opposed to Western cultural influence.

If the scandals only starts blowing up in 2018 and affected the midterms, we could end up with President Pelosi (enough GOP senators might defect to reach the magic 67 number, depending exactly on what was dug up, and what antics Putin has been up to since).

Or get Pence to resign first, and put in an acceptable independent as Veep (Mattis?) before Der Donald bites it (the problem is that he'll probably have to be dragged out of the White House physically/the nuclear football will have to be pulled out of Trump Tower, though the fallout of that is just likely to be national embarrassment. It's not like he has a private army or anything).
