Actor William Campbell, veteran character performer in dozens of movies and TV shows through three decades and most famous for having played Gen. Trelaine (ret.) in the Star Trek episode "The Squire Of Gothos" and of course Klingon Capt. Koloth in "The Trouble With Tribbles" and years later in two episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, has passed at the age of 87.

"How did you get in here?"
"I am Koloth."
"That doesn't answer my question."
"Yes, it does."

- Odo and Koloth, in Odo's office

RIP

Of the original Trek Klingons there's now only Michael Ansara left. Curiously, once he's dead too the three will have died from youngest to oldest (John Colicos *1928, William Campbell *1926 and Michael Ansara *1922. Life and its cruel ironies.

RIP

To nitpick, he only appeared in one DS9 episode 'Blood Oath', 'Trials & Tribble-ations' did not feature him in any archive footage.

What are the charges against him?

Charges? No charges. He's today's guest of honor.

You must be a very brave man to attempt humor at the expense of a Klingon Dahar Master.
