I've already done that.
My main military Airship is capable of operating at Ultra-high atmospheres, and relaying the same stuff as a spy sat, or scanning any radio traffic, including TV, Cell phones, broadcast systems, etc. It can also knock out any unshielded electronics in an area, by using their nuclear reactor in conjunction with their whole super huge lift section being a radar array, they can create an electromagnetic pulse.

Then let's go for civilian applications. Launching space satellites is expensive

True..., come to think of it, I have more then I need, we could use them to compete with Bean.

I'm working with Bean as well, but we need to diversify the market anyway. Even if we don't use the stratospheric satellites to compete with Baen, the strat-sats will still be great replacement for land-based communications systems!
Hay PeZook, looks like we got a new market in Byzantium! ISCA HOORAY!

Constantinople Shipyards is always looking for contracts and opportunities.

The sale of fishing boats to Red Sea Fisheries should be more or less a done deal.

This is excellent!
Albeit, ugh...we'll need to work out the details of the deal. How it would work and all

We are currently working on the SPAMRAAM, but it is hard to create a missile on the internet that destroys all the useless spam without destroying the good spam that has nudie pictures in it.

Thats a very big picture.
The Shadow Empire would be interested in buying one of your Hyper-Velocity Gun's. Will you sell outside of the MESS?

It's probably really expensive and Shady, you ought to watch your budget, man. You're still a small nation. Some SDNations have made investments (like the UKB's space program) that costs more than your annual GDP. And the same applies to Deathdealer. Where does he get the money for those tech? MESS funding?

I was asking my self the same question. He has built quite a few things that are outside of his budget. I suppose it's ok if the MESS is helping him.

The Gauss Weapons, COBRAM Armor, and SLAMRAAM are in my general military budget. I cancelled the LSA before I even started building it. The High Velocity Gun was something I was tasked to R&D for the MESS. I have only built 1 and that is for testing. Plus I have R&D in my budget (almost $1B in the 2009 budget). I have also posted all of my budgets for the world to see.

Shroom,
I don't have rail guns. I have Gauss Guns. They are completely different weapons. Gauss Guns consist of one or more coils arranged along the barrel that are switched in sequence so as to ensure that the projectile is accelerated quickly along the barrel via magnetic forces. Because Gauss Guns have no sliding contact, no wear or erosion occurs to the barrel, and the working life of a Gauss Gun is potentially infinite. In this way, Gauss Guns are distinct from Rail Guns, which pass a large current through the projectile or sabot via sliding contacts. This creates a large amount of wear on the barrel. In real world, nobody has solved the problem of the huge amount of wear on the barrel in the rail gun. While there are numerous working versions of the Gauss Gun in the real world.
Get it right dude.

Working versions, i.e. lab toys. How about actual weapons? We'd be going to sci-fi land if we have troopers blasting away with gauss rifles. In light of the negative reviews and critics' reactions to that Zablania Robot-thing, I wonder just how sci-fi we can push our stuff...

The Gauss Weapons, I have actually fielded that stuff. There are actual working versions of the Gauss Gun right now in the real world. I got most of my info from the linked page below. They have fired a 4.5 gram rod at 75m/s using only 1200 joules. They are testing a 7000 joule model right now that will fire the same rod at a higher velocity than a high powered sniper rifle. So the Gauss Gun is a very real technology that is out there. It is a young technology, but not that far fetched.

Also, Shroomania shall have its own version of the CLIT.
The WHORE.
World
Homosexual
Order
for
Rights
and
Equality!
That could get hilarious if my navy is in town considering that theprefix for my ships is HIS WHORE (His/Her Imperial Supremacy's Wilkonian Honorary Oceanic Regal Enforcer). Thus if there were WHORE's aboard HIS WHORE
Natalie Portman (CVN-44) who would the pimp be?

Except you went from concept to design to built in... a weekend?
Do you have a post you can point to where you were designing this thing or did you yank it directly out of your ass?
I'm calling Shenanigans
(Not to mention FYI, we've tried to build rail and Gauss gunes but the problem is the barrel breaks in under a dozen shots, simply testing the things causes stress fractions and you either lose the magnets or the barrel gets ever so slightly bend out of place.
I don't need to tell the problem when a projectile travels down a barrel at something like six to twenty times the speed of sound and the barrel is off by 1mm to the left, it's messy to say the least)
I'm not sure if you aware of this Deathdealer but stuff like this in the
real world has to be taken down and inspected after each shot because our material sciences have not advanced to the point when we can throw something that fast without the heat generated potentionaly warping the barrel.
Practical Gauss and Rail guns are five years out minimum,
deployable ones are a minimum of ten years out.
And let me not forget the ecnomics of the situation

He did in fact post something-something gauss prototype rifles some time back. Along with his Haloid suits.
Let him have his corn, it's not like heavy-arsed battery-powered maintenance-intensive energy-intensive doohickeys are gonna be that effective in modern war.

Either way, time is the main issue
Usefulness is secondary
Today there exists rail guns, which will not be deployable until 2020 at minimum from start to finish thats a sixteen year project. Funded by the Navy at a goodly cost, and you expect me to believe you did it in less than 3 years?

You have a point.
Bad Deathdealer! Bad! We've had enough bad science fiction with that Zablania Robot thing!
Incidentally, Deathdealer also wanted to raid Zablania to steal robot micro-fusion technology! Bad boy! Bad!
Seriously. Even Stas has quieted up about his supercomputer Artificial Intelligence
EDIT:
We
need to make a fic of SDN World, mangs!

Coyote, is that a Winter Olympics or a Summer Olympics?
And are there any rules? I suspect some Shroomian athletes might NOT be juicing and thus are at a disadvantage VS their normal counter-parts... Or do the robot assisted Tian Xian and The Duchy of Langley athletes compete as is?

This will be a Summer event, with a Winter event following in a few months. I always imagined Canissia has at least one narrow range of high mountains with an Alpine climate for good snow. Delphi City is on a plain at the base of the mountains, so it makes a good HQ for both.
The obvous rules would include no doping, and no mech/power/robot assistance. Basically, similar to the rules we have here in Real Life.
