I suppose I could just sit by and let this incident run its course, but I feel the need to get this off my chest. Earlier today I was speaking to Ghost Rider and I admitted to him that had it been up to me, I would've locked the thread long before Stravo did, even before the issue with Spanky came up, mostly because of the outrageous flirting and spamming going on in it.

Here's a hint: if you know that something you're doing is against the rules and most likely going to make a mod angry, THEN WHY ARE YOU DOING IT?! It's flagrantly disrespectful and extremely foolish. The fact that you were doing if for no other apparent reason than drawing female attention to yourself is just one more thing to enrage the mods.

In the future, don't engage in this kind of behavior. If you're uncertain about the rules, take things to PM, especially if one of the people you're flirting with is new to the board and doesn't know the ropes yet. Don't continue down a path that you know will lead to nothing but trouble.

Jesus Christ, what in the hell is the matter with people? Does nobody remember the Aphrodite fiasco? I sure do, and I also remember saying that was the last straw.

Why anyone would advertise that they're part of the AYVB I don't know. It's like saying you're a sad, basement residing bastard in public.

See, this shit is why you almost never catch me outside of a forum centered around debate. I come here for a mental workout. If I want to try and hook up with someone or flirt around, I'll go down the street to the god damned bar.

This is a debate forum with socially orientated areas tacked on as afterthoughts people, not a geek singles club. And yeah, I'm lambasting both sexes here. There is no excusing they AYVBs behavior here, but if you throw blood in the water, don't get shocked when you attract sharks.

Ok, I just wanna say that I know that this has happened because there was a few warnings and people didn't listen, but seeing as though I forgot that SirNitrams post existed once all the pics were being posted then I can only imagine that some others forgot it was there as well.

This sort of thing happens with the no comments picture thread of our members... no comments allowed... then on the next page *or even sometimes on that same page* there's a comment because people are not perfect and don't have perfect memories. When you get used to posting on a board like this and mosey on over to a thread you've been looking at for a while it's hard to remember that that particular thread has special rules.

I want to thank those of you who are looking out for me and telling me none of this was my fault. I sincerely felt like crap. Now I don't. I understand why Spanky is being treated this way, and I don't disagree with it I just hope to help everyone see that people do make mistakes and it's easy to forget the rules. Now I'm not sure how many times he's had this happen, or even anything close to this though so I can't say whether he should be let off with a warning or have his life made a living hell. I just wanted to state how I felt on this matter.

Please be gentle. I never meant for any of this to happen, I was merely just announcing what was to come. Spanky's request didn't bother me this much.

So as you may see he was being friendly, he wasn't rude, he was asking if it was too much to ask, he wanted me to be comfy with it.

Do with that what you will I just thought I should post it so nobody just assumed he was quick and said 'gimme a pic with your face in it too'.

I understand that at the end of the day he did do something against the rules and he did do something that could be considered harrassment but I just want to make everyone aware that I didn't feel harrassed at all.


Also for the record I had no idea batman was considered a perv. He certainly never did anything to me to make me feel yucky. Just was surprised to hear that he has had complaints as well. Oh well such is life I guess.

There'd need to be some council to decide who can and cannot see the boobies and what not. I don't see how this could be done now effectively, but maybe if we invented some advanced AI we could do it.

Or maybe ask the person how much porn he or she has. Chances are someone with buttloads of porn isn't going to get all worked up over a simple cleavage shot.

This is a bannable offense, I should point out, that Spanky's committed. I do not know if it'll come to that... My opinions are skewed by my sense of honour being maligned.. But it's not like anyone can be under the impression that large postcounts or long board membership is some kind of shield.

I'm glad you're not going to lose sleep over this. I hope the other ladies feel the same way; it will be a big help in ensuring that in future, less derailed threads can exist.

The AYVB started when aerius posted a lot of braggart threads in a few days and someone made a joke about us joining forces, someone came up with the name, I agreed with it and it was born(although I some how lost out leadership). DPDarkPrimus I think was the head til Mayabird and he copulated, I don't know who afterwards then. It wasn't a usergroup, it wasn't really anything but something in our sigs.

Then, atleast I assume, someone that was a AYVB did something creepy-pervy, and then everyone that did something creepy-perv(AYVB or not) was labeled AYVB and every creepy-pervy drama was blamed on the AYVB as a whole.

Okay, I've actually been staying out of this thread frankly because I was afraid. Actually, I was more or less completely terrified, that if I tried to defend what I did, I would be swarmed and have no hope, or simply that something disasterous would happen. I also waited in hopes that things would calm down a little by the time I worked up the courage to face things.

So now that I'm here, I'm going to first off say that I will not defend myself. It's obviously too late for that, and I already know that what I did was stupid, so there really is nothing for me to defend anyway.

Instead, I'm here to apologise.

I have already apologised to Mrs Kendall, and have also sent an apology to Cpl Kendall. And right now I apologise to them both again, publically.

And to everyone else, I apologise. I apologise to the participants in the cleavage thread as well as those who were viewing and enjoying the thread in a mature and behaved manner. I am sorry that what I did served as the catalyst for wrecking the experience.

I truly apologise with the upmost sincerity and humility.

Additionally, I think I will take some advice and take a break from the board for a while.

The problem is that people here have been warned, repeatedly, not to pull this sort thing. One would think, that, with all the warnings in Announcements, and in AMP, that people would think twice. And it's not been that long since the Aphrodite thread fiasco, where we witnessed AYVB behavior cause the banning of beauty pagent/contest threads.

Yes, you might've been able to take it in stride, but that may not have been the case with another female in your position.

If you want to make a comment, or ask something of them . . . if you would feel guilty about saying those things to a live woman in slapping distance, then you should probably keep your mouth shut. If you think you're going to be cute and make a request to the woman in question through PMs . . . ask yourself this. Is it a comment that is innocuous enough to be said publically? If it isn't. Then, once agan, you should probably keep your mouth shut.
