Man they must have a room full of bad writers at the CW where they just churn out shit after shit to put on screen.

Last ep just didn't work for me, it was too much all crammed in one. Especially with the fake-out with Roy's death and then the apparently-real death of Thea. Maybe it's partly because of watching Daredevil, but the show has definitely taken a dip in quality recently. It's like they're massively overstretching themselves, doing stuff without thinking of the consequences.

Season 3 is definitely going for fanservice. First the boxing glove arrow, now the Canary Cry that was developed in Flash by Cisco:

I love it.

Atom has become freaking Iron Man. Not just the fact they have powered armour, but the power levels as well. Really?

So, did this feel like a series finale for anyone else?

Haven't seen it yet, I'll probably check it out tonight. It's a shame how poor the second half of this season has been, really, but I'll still give it a go.

It certainly did feel like one. But they have a new show in the works 'Legenfs of Tomorrow' and we see Oliver in that, so I don't think we're done with Oliver as the Arrow.

I forget that 'series' for the US means the show as a whole, whereas in the UK it means 'season', though that is slowly changing :P
I actually enjoyed it, despite Felicity crying AGAIN, Flash Ex Machina, Ra's taking the only parachute onboard a plane carrying at least 6-8 people, and Oliver just straight-up murdering Ra's at the end, when he spent all of season 2 working hard to redeem himself of that stuff. God, do I hope we get the actual Green Arrow next season and they cut down on the constant angst.

I'm not sure there is a next season, at least not in the traditional sense. It looks more like Arrow is ending in order to transition into a broader show with Legends of Tomorrow (half of whose cast is Arrow alumni).

Ummm, guys - Arrow has already been renewed for a 23-episode fourth season. It hasn't been cancelled/ended at all. This happened back on January 11. DC's Legends of Tomorrow is going forward with Arrow and Flash, not in place of it.

Huh. Well, I stand corrected. Between seeing half of Arrow on Legends of Tomorrow, Oliver leaving it all behind and literally driving off into the sunset with his own happy ending, I figured Arrow was more or less done. :P

The odd thing is that Legends of Tomorrow is advertised as coming out in 2016, meaning that if Arrow and Flash are following the normal season running times of starting in the fall and ending in the spring, that means that Legends of Tomorrow will probably be a miniseries or half season starting in January.

Its not really half of Arrow though, its the first Canary who was already dead, and the Atom who was always written to be a spin off character. Arrow's core characters from the first season haven't been touched.
