Nevermind that they only follow the rules they like. For example, IIRC it's the book of Isiah that prohibits homosexuality. But it also prohibits the handling of the flesh of pigs, the consumption of certain seafood, including shrimp, and the wearing of mixed textiles. But the idiots that spout hate against gays are the same ones who are likely to wear poly/cotton blends, eat bacon(or sausage) at breakfast and think a shrimp cocktail is a fancy appetizer.

Also, my bible sense tells me it's probably lev 20. anyhoo, they get around a lot of those things by determining that Jesus annulled them when he went against the law of kashrus, in the NT, and since they're supposed to be like Jesus, they don't mind violating those OT commandments. However, since Jesus didn't say homosexuality (as they interpret the OT) was ok, that part's not annulled. Phelps' ilk also think that homosexuality is the worst of all sins, since it's the only one called an abomination, which is simply wrong, i don't know where he gets that idea.

On a related note, I don't know how I never found the Skeptics Annotated Bible before; couldn't stop laughing as I read through it. I feel cheated for not having found it sooner.

While i have said over i think she should die.....i still think letting him say she should in the first place was wrong.
