Actually he did say pm's but there was only the one request. I think he was just trying to make it known that anymore would be looked down upon. Christ I'm fucking sick and tired of people acting and treating this board as though it's some freakin' social club for chess players. It's not. It's a goddamn discussion forum, and while socialising is well and good, the drama that goes along with it isn't.

Finally, someone who points out the truth. This board was originally created for intelligent discussion. If people happen to meet and make friends here that's great, but it's not meant to be a singles bar.

PS. We try to walk a fine line between being overly restrictive and letting things get out of hand. The problem is that when we loosen our restrictions, someone will eventually abuse them. So we tighten them again, people complain that we're being too restrictive, and the cycle begins anew. If that's the way it's always going to be, I suppose I can live with that, but everyone's going to have to get used to these cycles.

Slightly off-topic from the debate with Batman that's going on, I'd just like to express my regret for the locking of that thread. I've been slightly MIA lately, life has been busy, so I hadn't really posted much in it.

I didn't feel harassed or overly complimented from anything said in that thread. But I understand how the possibility of that can come up. And it's possible that I'm overly desensitized- in middle school and high school having a D cup when most girls are A's and B's has earned my boobs lots of attention. So much so that it's completely irrelevent- I've been seen topless by, been groped by, and flashed prolly as many people who frequent this board (exaggeration, but you get my point). I can be rather exhibitionistic, and am pretty damn comfortable with my own body. However, this doesn't mean I'm ignorant of douchecunts who don't know anything more than drooling over "chicks with big titties" and have no appreciating of the human form and have no aesthetics- there's a big difference between appreciating the female form and obsessing over a woman's attributes.

I'm sad that what could have been a thread for appreciating the female form was downgraded to something else. But *maybe* something can be learned from this? It seems the people who might have offended were ignorant of the fact or just retarded (either way, no excuse), but in the future, perhaps another thread of this type could be salvaged? I say less rage on all accounts here, and everyone try to act like mature adults. Except for me, I'm gonna keep acting like the 20-something nympho-perv I am.

The reason for the uproar, Avalon, is that this is not the first time this has happened. And not all females are as comfortable showing off their goods as you may or may not be. The fact of the matter is, EVERYONE was warned, and some people STILL were fucking idiots, treating the thread like a leg-humping Chihuahua, instead of treating it with kid gloves, as it should have been, given what has transpired in the past.

When dealing with situations like that thread, you MUST cater to the lowest common denominator (???). I may have misused that expression, but what I mean is that you MUST assume that EVERYONE is very sensitive about the situation, and while compliments, etc. are acceptable, beyond that, FUCKING STOP.

To riterate, this is NOT the first time this goddamned shit has happened, and the guys on the board who appreciate and admire the female form without drooling over it like a starving crazed weasel are sick and fucking tried of our enjoyment being shot to shit, AND making our female members feel uncomfortable.
