Depends on the GM of course, but considering we are an uber elite commando force, there are many, many toys for us in the sandbox. You called the sarge Arthur, so your template will be similar to the one i posted. I didn't list all the gear that we could use, just the very basic stuff. Plenty of room for grenades, vibro blades, scanners etc. I'll get around to posting the Storm commando armor tommorrow. The Assault trooper may carry a repeating blaster, the Sabotuer carries extra explosives, the sniper has a rifle with scope and the medic has a medical backpack.

One question, is there a 'pre-game' session scheduled where we can swap ideas, questions, etc? I've been rummaging through my ancient set of assorted RPG rulebooks, but alas, Starwars D6 isn't among them. If anyone cares to, could someone PM or IM me (AIM username: Centurion Nadium) and give me a crash course in the d6 system?
Thanks in advance.

What choice of weapons does a Sergeant have?

I am working on the teams armory, which needs final clearance by the GM of course. Basically it will have most of what is in the Empire's serivce as well as other odds and ends. Weapons will depend on the mission, such as using carbines for close quater work or rifles for longer range, a repeating blaster or two, maybe even a rocket launcher. You'll have a long arm such as rifle or carbine and sidearm pistol and couple of knives and grenades. The assault trooper will most often carry a repeating blaster and sniper has a rifle with a scope. Everybody else is mission specific.

If nobody sends you anything Captain Tycho, I'll try to PM you later tonite with the highlights of the D6 system, and I'll help you with your character.

We need more people though!

Here's a helpful primer I found on WEG's website.

Deathstalker sent me this via PM. I assume he sent one to everyone else, too, but thought I'd post it here for new players and non-participants to see.

Only sent to you Arthur_tuxedo, because there is little interest and wanted to try and keep the thread uncluttered. If anyone else is interested, I'll PM the templates to you.

Well, aren't I a dumbass?

Btw, what's the best place to get a character sheet, preferably editable in word?

I have never played a d6 RPG, so can someone help me to 'obtain' the core books?

This site has the character sheet, but in PDF. It is not complicated, should only take a few minutes to recreate into Word. Select Star Wars

To sum up D6 and how it is played, basically the GM sets a dificulty number for a task, such as shooting someone, and you roll to see if you can beat that number. For example if a Rebel Scum trooper is out in the open the difficulty to hit him is easy and you only need a 12 to hit him, you roll your blaster skill dice and add it up. If you get more than 12 you hit him and do damage.

The site Arthur_Tuxedo suggested should answer most any other questions. The rules on the site are modified from the Star Wars rules to make it a generic space game, but the rules are essentially the same, and it's free!

I saw that PDF one. Thanks though. I have Acrobat Professional, so I was editing it into my character sheet, but it crashed as I was filling in the last field, and it doesn't save every few minutes like Word, so I was pretty pissed. I'll give it another shot though, I guess.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but the current roster of people interested/able to play are Arthur, Straha, Deathstalker, Aly, Tycho, and myself, with Shep volenteering to GM.

That doesn't sound too bad of a group, though one or two more might round it off better.

EDIT: And Straha, which would make a squad of 5 Storm Commandos.

I volunteered earlier! *raises hand and waves it about*

*sees if he knows how to make the PDF go into Word*

EDIT: Downloaded "WEG 2nd Edition Revised color character sheet"

Is this what I want? And how do you make it go to Word? :?

You have the right sheet Rouge ice but you need to manually copy it into word. I have all the Storm commandos in word already so if you would like I'll PM them to you, just let me know.

You better steel yourself. Soon you'll be hearing the whiny cries of the assault team going 'Heal me faster dammit!' 'No, don't heal him!' .

Ok, got the stat sheets, now the biggest question...what do I do? Sabotuer was mentioned in the PM, but is there anything else open?
