I don't follow college football or the draft, so I'm just parroting what Giants fans who do are saying (and thus you probably do not give a shit about what I'm saying). Since the Kipers and Mayocks and fans were expecting the Giants to go D in the 1st, given that all the "good" OL were already taken by #19 and OL of Pugh's caliber could be taken later, the theory put forth in that thread is that Jerry Reese leaked to "cushion the blow", so to speak. I don't know what Mayock's mocks looked like at any point, but the fishiness of him changing his Giants pick to Pugh so late supports it, that it may have happened with other teams.

That is stupid for the following reasons:
- Mayock does not change picks. He does one mock draft exactly the day before the draft and that is it.
- GMs don't give a shit about the fans feelings. What they however care about is operational secrecy.
- Guess what blows that secrecy? Telling Mayock who they will take

Mayock might have sources telling him "team X is really high on player Y", but that is it.

When I heard Charlie Casserly yesterday afternoon, saying the Raiders were definitely NOT going to pick Floyd, I thought the whole board would be skewed. The effect was minor. After the Dolphins traded up for Jordan, there was a small run on pass rushers then it was right back your program already in progress. Mayock and Casserly really are a cut above the others.

The 9ers continue to stockpile picks. They get an additional 3rd in 2014 and a 7thrd this year. Goddamn it.

They have to pay Sanchez 20 mil this year whether he starts or not. Might just as well get the best players and draft a QB next year, where the crop is much better.

Also, Geno Smith is terribly inconsistent and misses a lot of wide-open guys.

STFU NFLNetwork. I don't want to hear about Sanchez or Te'O. I want to hear about picks.

Overrrated, can't get off blocks, Media circus, seems kind of a pussy. Last one is just my personal opinion after watching him act during interviews, on Gruden's show and his interview after falling out of the first round. Maybe decent player with some coaching.

Hell Yeah JONATHAN OGDEN.

AND HELL YES ARTHUR BROWN.

Most athletic LB in the draft, definitely 3 down player. Coachable. This is shaping up to be a great draft so far.

For the Bucs? I didn't know there was one. Freeman is ok, I guess. He just doesn't win games is the problem. But with Schiano in there being strict maybe he will improve.

You just drafted Mike Glennon in the third.

Also, your GM is on record thinking of Freeman as a backup.

Geezuz. What a freefall for Barkley. I mean overall. He was literally the consensus #1 overall pick at one point. For a long fucking while. And now he is going to slide to the 4th round? Wow.

Brandon Williams is our 3rd pick. Good NT, will most likely replace Mt. Cody.

Merril Hodge douched up the announcement extraordinarily. Right after Dallas guy went out and got all "Americas Team and you are not" on the fans. Hodge topped that.

Ah. I don't actually watch the picks live (because talk about an exceptional pile of douchiness from 32 different cities, concentrated into a massive douche-canoe, with douche commentators).

I just look at their picks. Solid pass-rushing linebacker (needed to help with the aging, slowing, injured Polamalu), a running back (because their running game sucked last year, and hasn't been great for 2 or 3), and a wide receiver to fill in the gaps left behind by Ward and Wallace.
