Pretty fucking cool man. When do we get to see that bad ma'ma ja'ma in action?

Well whenever I finally get around to learn actual rendering. Not quite there yet, buy here's something with guns:

That's another original looking one. (To me anyway. I'm sure it looks like some obscure ship, but I'm not a complete Sci-Fi nerd like some people on the board ) Dig it.

Looks like a manta ray, and that's awesome. I love the cell-shaded look it has!

Man, thats just freiken wrong, lol. Anyways, small UPDATE:

Needs more starfield. That is one bad ass looking fleet. Does it have any kinda back story or is it just something you came up with. It also needs fighter escorts.

No back story yet. Fighters are going to be more difficult to create, but I just finished a gunship type thing, about 150 meters long.

THAT is FUCKING COOL! Do you know how to animate? I would love to see these, and your other ships, in action.

I have no freiken idea, but i would kill to learn how to use the better 3d programs and animate.

The fighter looks a little larger than I would have expected, but that doesn't change the coolness.

As for animating things, I have a little experience with that. I could try and give you a little advice, or if you don't mind sharing the models, I could try and knock up a scene for you.

I don't mind at all. Let me know.

UPDATE: Added some small details to the fighter and slightly revised some things. I apologize for the poor image quality, Photobucket didnt like my JPG's so I had to save them as GIF's. OH, and big gun up front, heh.

Update 4/07: Well my graphics card took a shit on me a few weeks ago and my hard drive got infected, so I cant work on my models till i get a new graphics card. To tide over the time i've scanned in some old designs I did about 6-7 years ago:

That's pretty cool, but, is it just me or, does it look like it is made out of Legos?

Well, im still working on creating curves in sketchup.

I dislike sketchup mainly because it's ruined my ability to learn a true 3d modelling program. Oddly enough, I still love it.

As for curves, Might be some help. Yeah, I know it's for a sphere, but you can do all kinds of fun curves with that technique.

Hawt. Looks like an ISD had a baby with a G'Quan.

Update 6/5/2008: Worked on a smaller, cheaper fighter with comparison shots with the larger one.
