My magic ability to wip up a Charater Story at a moments notice could be put to good use here
As for the Admiral thats just cause I studied Naval Tatics in school my best friend was going in becaues he wanted to be the Next Tom Clancy, Except more Edgy, And acutal knowing what he was talking about(Military History Major for those that don't know), He even wrote three hundred pages of his first, well it was going to be his first book till he canned it in which a Tyranical guy got into being the President the plaied the US like Paply did and got us to invade Mexico and Canada but then the book stalled there as he could not quite get that reason to further invade the UK and Britian(Some nices parts to once of which I justed love inolving some Canadian Troops and American's on Parade in Canadia the day of the Attack and how they took em out and graped the Captial Building)

"I want to be the MODERATOR!
What?
What are my qualifications?
Simple, I've been slaving away, converting WEG sourcebooks to HMTL, you
sad gits!"
You are aware that we're almost certainly not going to use the WEG system at all, aren't you?

Well considering I have no idea what the WEG system is, probably not

If you would be so willing sure we will put your talent to use there. One of the most important things in the upcoming RPG will scenarios, and if your good at creating them, all the better. However, if you create a scenario, chances are you won't be able to attempt it. Sorry

David, I would appreciate it if you could make this a sticky. I know I don't have 15 people probably, but I will begin recruiting once the game has begun. This way people don't lose interest as easy. Also, this would allow me to update the RPG so that people won't have to search through the board to find it. Thanks

I'd like to join the game too... Probably as one of the support cast or major antagonists... Any role would be fine, as long as I can have some kind of dignity and meaning in life. Maybe a clonetrooper officer with a mind in is head?

BTW is this a play-by-email or a message board RPG? If anyone needs my email it is

If there are enough smugglers around I would be willing to play an Imperial customs officer. If not, I am also willing to fill the void.

Answering the question about whether this is message board or e-mail, it's going to be message board at this point.

Remember, to officially join the RPG I need your e-mail address, so if you haven't already done so and wish to join the RPG, please post your e-mail address.

Now don't get me wrongo - I have great faith in WEG. But the fact of the matter is, no ordinary RPG system would be quick enough here. There's not even time for die rolls and skill resolutions.

Character Creation
Edition 1.2
“Who was his father?”
Character creation is essential to the RPG’s success. This will be one of the most important decisions you make in the entire RPG. Your character will have the opportunity for a host of abilities and attributes. Perhaps you wish to be a pilot, perhaps a captain aboard a capital starship. You may also wish to join the military, so strategic ground battle logic is a must. Choose wisely, these attributes will be your for the rest of the game.
*Note you do not choose what life your character will begin here, (i.e. Smuggling, Empire, Alliance, military) you only choose what abilities will most help on the way.
1. In each section you have a certain amount of allotted points to use on each attribute. Note that as the game goes on, there are many opportunities to increase your level of skill in that specific area. The maximum number of points you may allot to a specific attribute is 5, although during the RPG it will be possible to gain a greater number than that.
2. This is a rough draft of the current available attributes. Currently I will be taking no applications of characters, so do not yet bother to send a character sheet to me. You may of course feel free to speculate with fellow gamers in the thread however what attributes you would choose.
Points available: 10
Capital Ship Command:
Starship piloting (fighters, freighters, smugglers):
Fleet Command:
Points available: 10
Diplomacy:
Leadership:
Cleverness:
Points available: 10
Ground squad tactics:
Battle command tactics: (Aspiring to become a General)
Vehicle piloting (Speeder bikes, swoops, landspeeders):
Points available: 19
Speed:
Stamina:
Strength:
Quickness:
Weapons (Blasters, lightsaber if Jedi):
Sneakiness (Spying):
[LUCK]: (This wild card factor will increase for your character if you complete certain difficult situations and scenarios) You may NOT allot points in this category
Force Sensitivity: Some characters will display qualities in the Force, but not many will. The method of detirmining Force-sensitive people will be decided later.
As was mentioned earlier, this is the first draft of what could be many on character creation. Suggestions are always accepted, so if you have a opinion, please feel free to express it.
Edition 1.3 will be next and will most likely deal with the opportunity to become a smuggler, mercenary, or simple business man. Edition 1.4 will follow and will discuss the options of obtaining a ship and other items such as weapons. Edition 1.5 will be after and so far will deal with placement in the Empire and Alliance’s fleets and military.
Until next time, happy RPG’ing! May the Force be with you!

Hmm arn't some of those Mutaly exculisive?
IE its kind of hard to be a Leader while being and idiot or not being able to be diplomatic
And whats the diffrence between speed and Quickness? Acceration?

I interpreted speed as running speed and quickness as response time.

So does that mean even I drop enough into Quickness and shift the rest around I will be unable to lift up toothpicks but able to dodge lasers?

This is what I had in mind when creating it. As for the point system, like I said, it could easily change. I want an RPG where you can be a good leader and naval strategist too. Think about it. Take Ulysses S. Grant for example. He was a great military leader and later president, no reason our players can't do the same kind of thing.

Will the players be organized as a single party, competing parties, or individuals?

Perhaps you can clarify this question so I can more adequately answer your question.
But from what I gather from your question here is my answer for now: Players will be able to choose whether to join the Rebel Alliance or Empire, or become a smuggler or other profession and create their own alliances. So some players will support each other while others will be fighting against each other. Hope this somewhat clarifies your question.

I was asking whether we would be acting in D&D style parties or as individuals. From your response, I gather we will be acting individually.
