Final year of a BS in Biology and currently applying to Ph.D programs in Wildlife Ecology and Zoology... could probably get a cert in ethics in the remaining semester if I refiled some forms...

1 year of college, general educational crap, as the computer science idea promptly fell through in the second semester. Minimal scientific or advanced math training, although I can add and multiply like a mofo.

As far as life experience goes, I'd have to says I can't even look down far enough to get a clear perspective of the point of view of some of the kiddies who prompted this poll.

And I too am making a good deal more than minimum wage these days. Fear my five point veteran's preference for serving stateside doing spurious shit during a time of conflict. :P

Just finished the first of 3 terms of my master's program at Cambridge, and it is kickin' my ass! But I guess that is the point.

Edit: Oops, that was supposed to be 'finished,' not 'first.'

To my mind any education is just experience you didnt pay for with blood sweat or tears. That is you dont need to go out and re-create an experiment as you know its reliable and the answer. All this means is - it is only as valuble as the effort that went in and your experience afterwards as that will inform you on the limits of your education. Dont get me wrong education is very important but it is only part of the puzzle so to speak.

So that's where you've been!

About another two months to go on my thesis...

Jah, I had no idea how much I would be gone, so I didn't want to make a big exit only to show up again in a week or whatever. Turns out most of my free time was spent either hanging with new friends or with the boyfriend (LW). But I'm on a break now, so I should be around for a little while.

Ooh, how long is your thesis going to be? Mine is due July 14th and will be 20,000 words. :|

First year in Med School in Florence (actually, you would probably call it a medical undergraduate program at the moment, since it is six year long plus specialization, if I am not mistaken, but the entrance exam is right at the beginning).

4 A-levels, a couple of AS-levels and I'm working on an ONC in Civil Engineering via day release.

Nothing stellar, but I'm not stabbing wildly in the dark.

In the middle of my second year working toward a BA in history. (plus I have 7 credits that they tranfered in from the military)

Not sure were I want to go with it yet: Anthropology and Archaeology maybe. The biggest hurdle for me is the second semester requirement of another language, for some reason I have an extremely hard time with it, I translate automatically in my head.

Anyways, some recommendations would be welcome for good schools that focuse on history.

B.Sc in Computer Science. I'm not even working in the computer or electronics industry anymore so there's no way in hell I'm going back to school for more pieces of paper. I've had all the formal education I can handle in this lifetime without losing it and going postal.
