Bullshit, I've been the one doing the most playing for the last two pages!
What fucking game are you reading?

Yes, it would appear that a few people are upset by your actions and accusations and wish to voice these opinions. Given that these opinions are towards a Moderator, they'd be a little important, no?

Yes, however at this point I fail to see what is being done other than re-hash and expand the arguements? Honestly, if there's something people want at this point beyond simply settling the Beowulf issue (which despite being so vital has been ignored since a solution was reached) I don't see it.

I know I said I wouldn't post about this here anymore, but enough is enough.
Stormbringer wrote:Again he sent several PMs to me on the subject prior to this.
That is a
lie. I still have the PMs I sent you. I gave them to Magi to post. One message. One. Single. Message. That was it. Magi just posted it.
No I don't have them since they were culled out long ago.
Pity for you that I still have them. Well, it. The one message I sent you, and the one response you made.
Well...

Hello Stormbringer:
I can't speak for anyone else, but there is something that I do want at this point and I have begun to lay the foundation for. Given the problems with the whole Beowulf incident (which I have noted your latest post in game solves the issue and that is appreciated) and your behaviour as of late, I have asked pablo to create a poll where your future as a moderator for this thread shall be determined by the players of this STGOD. I will be honest with you, I have enjoyed reading the various Asgard posts that you have constructed. However, I have not enjoyed your behavior as a mod. I have given this STGOD a great deal of my time and energies, and it has given me in turn a great deal of pleasure and entertainment. I am no longer willing to put up with the STGOD under exisiting circumstances. The future of the STGOD will be determined by its players, and my future in it will revolve around the result of the aforementioned vote.
Sincerely,
Marcao

These are pirates; they KNOW they are being hunted. They will be on the lookout, and when they see 6 dreadnaughts bearing down on them they'll high tail it out faster than you can shake a stick at.
Don't see how that concerns you. The pirates are my concern now. But yes, I knew that already, thank you.

It was more of a suggestion for Alyrium to change his post; the pirates would have noticed all those ships moving at FTL and ran, most ships, I'd say, would have a fair chance of escaping.

Make no mistake, they still have that fair chance if I have anything to say about it. I'm playing a nice-guy republic, but when it comes down to a fleet engagement, I play to win. Since the pirates can't possibly beat that fleet, "win" in this case means running the blockade, and that is what I intend to do. Within character, of course; most of those pirates wouldn't go out of their way to help other ships and wouldn't coordinate their escape, which is their weakness. But I have no intention of rolling over and dying.

That's just it, there is no blockade. He would have to be in orbit to pull of any sort of blockade, and as stated, his presence would have been known well before he got that close, leaving ample time for the pirates to get away before there was even a threat of capture.

How's that? There have been no instances in this STGOD of attacking fleets being detected more than mere minutes if not seconds before their arrival, even by national-territory planets with integrated sensor nets. Why would pirates be able to pull it off in plenty of time all of a sudden?

Let me be very blunt.
I
DO NOT give 2 shits about beowulf's real life situation.
I'm sorry that wasn't clear before.
Next, let's clear up my definition of a "Lazerus":
Screwing up due to stupidity and restarting as a new nation, despite not being destroyed, just somewhat damaged.
A real player dropped into such a situation would resolve the problem, not just say "screw it" and move on.
Now lets review our
private conversation, this is the conversation I had, I don't know who the hell you were talking to.
1. Me still asking you where Beowulf posted regarding infrequent posting.
-You answered this eventually
-The answer was page 182
2.My appolgizing to you for my less than diplomatic posts
-You understood the situation and deemed it "understandable."
-You you mentioned that unlike lazerus Beowulf does not lie. I'm not sure if that makes sense to me, perhaps you fail to see the difference between stupidity and lying?
3. My pointing out similarities between the actions of Lazerus and Beowulf.
-Which you failed to grasp.
So, let me spell it out for you:
Lazerus did stupid things with his nation, the end result was him getting beaten up some and then starting a new nation.
Beowulf stupidly made mistake after mistake at the trade fair; the end result: his nation has been damaged and he is going to start a new nation. The keys here are Stupid and Star Over.
Notice how both parties were stupid and consequently wimped out and started over?
No lies, no desire to know personal information. Throughout the entire conversation both public and private you've tried to "defend" beowulf, from what, I'm not sure.
And on a side note, posting a private message is in
very poor taste.
A Moderator Should Know Better!
On a final note, it is my hope that while someone else is given the power to moderate this STGOD, you remain in the game, Stormbringer.

I'm with Marcao and Hotfoot on this one.
The game was, after Laz did leave us, going quite well. Until the Beowulf road bump, that is. You didn't do anything to help either, Stormbringer, except heavy-handed modding and throwing tantrums like a true Drama Queen...

Heavy handed modding would involve getting out the modstick and beating people with it. He hasn't done that, and Beowulf's fleet is going to be destroyed by the Ravenlock, Gladsheim, and Veithan forces, it seems.

Minutes is more accurate, enough time to scramble defences, or in the case of pirates, run away.

I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow morning. Will be back on the 11th of July. Try not to destroy my nation while I'm gone, will you?

In case anyone decides to be a total asshole while I'm gone, I give control to Frigidmagi, or Alyrium if Frigid doesn't have the time (he's starting his new job tomorrow, IIRC).

Pablo: For the time being I'm handing the Asgard off to Straha until such time as Thirdfain returns so as not to kill any threads which my nation is currently involved in. I don't know if or when I might return.

I am present. I haven't had any brilliant ideas for Etern involvement, but if someone needs a quick plot point, I'm here.
