I've defined a Delete template to add to pages that we want to remove from the wiki (for example, the page title is mis-spelled, and the content has already been moved to a correctly spelled title).
...to the page, near the top (but after any #REDIRECT statement) to nominate a page for deletion. Pages nominated for deletion are automatically added to the new Delete category.

Hey, was my user-ID on the wiki deleted or something? I tried to log on and it wouldn't let me :/
Praying is another way of doing nothing helpful

Just reviving this thread a moment to encourage people to add more articles. There's apparently enough "debate" activity going on with JMSpock and company for a lot of typical arguments to get addressed in the Wiki.
We can define a whole "common Trekkie arguments" category.

Could someone kindly point out how to start a new article? The English-to-trektard dictionary is coming along quite nicely but I'm not sure where to put it.
"everytime a person is born the Earth weighs just a little more."--DMJ on StarTrek.com
"You see now you are using your thinking and that is not a good thing!" DMJay on StarTrek.com
"Watching Sarli argue with Vympel, Stas, Schatten and the others is as bizarre as the idea of the 40-year-old Virgin telling Hugh Hefner that Hef knows nothing about pussy, and that he is the expert."--Elfdart

You simply click the edit tab on a wiki page, then type in the page name you want. Then you put brackets around the page name in question which will create a link and hit save. You then click on the link, and start typing. Copy the formatting from other pages and replace with your own content to save time.
"It's you Americans. There's something about nipples you hate. If this were Germany, we'd be romping around naked on the stage here."
OK, the dictionary is up. Can I move it to a subsection of "debating tactics" or "famous trolls" articles?

and use my_page_here whenever you want to link to the page. If you just want the name to show up, you'd type Troll to make it just one word. Similar to dressing a link on a BBS but with less user-friendly code.
"It's you Americans. There's something about nipples you hate. If this were Germany, we'd be romping around naked on the stage here."
Don't need the underscoring when linking to a page though.

If you want it to appear in a category, just add the relevant category code & name at the bottom of the article, eg: or whatever. It'll then appear alongside any other articles in that category.

Any chance of setting it up as 'wiki.stardestroyer.net' and/or rewrite the addresses to mask the 'index.php' for the articles? I think you already do this for server.stardestroyer.net, rewriting foo.php to foo_raw.php, etc.
I think the privacy policy page should be filled in, but I don't feel authorized to do it myself.
Suggestions:
ImperialWiki does not and will not sell information about its users.
ImperialWiki reserves the right to release information about users who vandalize the site.
Anything else?

personally I think we should be something about the articles that have nothing but the title (probably former copy/paste stuff) in them, either delete or put some kind of place holder text into there.
I may be an idiot, but I'm a tolerated idiot

Where you find them, add a stub template. That will make them easier to find later.

Someone adding rebuttal #4 to the Alderaan argument made a link to a wiki article about suspension of disbelief but never apparently made the SoD page. That omission has now been rectified.

Is it a Good Thing that SirNitram is yet to be included on this Wiki, or a bad thing because it means you guys have forgotten he was ASVS alumni as well?
Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

Its neither. It only means he is choosing to not contribute. He is mentioned in various articles, mentioned as being a moderator, but he has not yet created his article on himself.

Um, yeah. I had to create my own. If someone else creates it, you might not like it.

Does someone want to make a second subcategory of the "trolls" category for "Mindless Scooter Cockgoblins"?
