Go to the live journal. VT posted this a little while ago.

The problem everyone has with the idea of this conflict is that they think it was a war. It wasn't - It was a con-job, with all the right props, straight men, foils, everything needed, and an entire galaxy in which to launder the numbers.
Thats what the dark moose guy is arguing about the clone wars. My emphasis.

Could some one please tell me how to read the threads over at LiveJournal, its just a jumbled mess to me. Probably just me but still...
EDIT: Nevermind, think i got the hang of it.

Its not as easily placed out as most of the boards i've been to, like here or CBR or something.

Anywho, just read through this DarkMoose's stuff a little.
Most...the vast majority...of what he says is the most bald faced, blatant kind of BULL i've ever seen. Like what A-Wing Slash quoted, just as an example.
"Everyone thinks the Clone Wars was a war bit it wasn't!"
Really. Thank you for explaining that. I understand though in real life we always name something a war when it's just a con job. Like the Enron Wars. Or the Martha Stewart Wars.
And oh God...you should just be glad you weren't around during the Microsoft Wars, we were beating ecah other to death with our own severed limbs! to quote Jason X

The last line of her main post.

Incidentally, I think I may have triggered a mini-paradigm shift on TFN just by reposting her comments over there. Some people seemed pretty shocked.

How come there's only 24 pages now on the TF.net board?

I think it has to do with your board settings. It has been consistent for me.

Replied to DM again.
Niceness still holding up.
Even mentioned the fact that the DK line of books is higher up on the "canon scale" so I don't have to accept this "retcon" as absolute.

I would more focus on it not being an objective source than referring to the canon scale broadly. Characters, and their interpretations of things, can be wrong.

I did mention that DK books were written in an OOU manner, without any bias for either side.

Did I just respond to Ryan Kaufman just now? (Jedi Haiku) I think I did! 8D

Must have been a hell of a non-war to leave entire worlds burned and the Jedi Order badly depleted and vulnerable.

Don't care what I said before.
And so he contradicts his earlier statement ("
LFL was very clear to us that no fixed number of total clones would or could be assigned") by adhering to a fixed number and he "doesn't care" that he said that...

Pointed that out in my response to him.

Yeah, I hadn't updated the thread so I missed that. I read your response after I had posted.
I wonder if that "jamesgilmer" is the same person that posts under a similar name over at the GS. The latter joined a few weeks ago and has posted in a single thread (the
Triple Zero thread) and in the "defense" of Traviss.

Agreed. It took me forever to even
find some of the posts. Whoever set that system up was on crack or something.

It's hard, but I've tried to follow the downward motion of the threads.
Gotten quite a few nice statements from that. Not bad. :)
And, Ender, if that is you on there, you're not helping. Don't give them more reasons to handwave your arguments away. That bit with referring to her former job was especially moronic. Tactics, man, use proper tactics!
