Note to self:
SEE A PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELOR AND A PSYCHIATRIST. YOU STILL WANT TO BUILD A TERROR BOMB AND KILL YOUR FORMER SECTION SERGEANT-- YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY IN NEED OF PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PSYCHIATRIC HELP.
I seem to remember giving you this advice a couple of months ago. Seriously go do it, you obviously have serious mental issues. I can relate, I have PTSD . DO SOMETHING BEFORE IT CONSUMES YOUR LIFE. And for fuck sakes stop posting about it. If you can't tell you ran out of sympathy last month, if you keep this up I'm sure the admins will either title or ban you.

4 years. Army. Signal corps. Death from a phone! OOH RA!

I would highly recomend it. Many of todays lazy youth have no idea of how good they have it.
Or just how much they are capable of if they try hard. I was a physical fitenss nut, and basic was a snap for me. Many find basic training the high point of their career, because they doubted their ability, and were severly challenged. My biggest challenge was not dying from lack of sleep.

Many have never HAD to team up with those they don't like, and it realy helps in the workplace later. After basic, you can handle ANY amount of abuse from a stupid boss without losing your cool. You may quit, but you will not flip out. Most serious mistakes in the military result in bad injuries, or a death. It is not the same in most non police or medical lines of work. This puts a new perspective on the value of human life, and how bad "bad" can be.

jegs2 also hit it on the head. You are part of something, and your buddies have your back. Not your friends, but your buddies. Even those you dislike are your buddies, because your life depends on them. All infighting seems to stop with a common enemy, which is ONE of the roles a good DI plays.
The common enemy.

Like sexuality, combat predates rationality. Us, them.
You could not explain the desire for sex to a totaly rational person any more than the unit cohesion. It is not rational, but quite pleasurable. Winning the base wide competition for best platoon in the cycle was a high I will remember till I die. We worked our asses off, and won.
WE, not I! (and there was much rejoicing, and ape like back pounding, and general horseplay ook ! ook! Ah! Ah!)
Hmmmmmm.

By the way, here's my advice to members of the US Army:
NEVER ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE TRANSFERRED TO FORT CAMPBELL!!!
Oh for christs sake. I had a feeling this thread might go this way, you whinney shit head.
After a few months there, I ended up in a mental hospital because of a desire to build a terror bomb and kill my section sergeant-- Ft Campbell is that f***ed up. Again,
NEVER ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE TRANSFERRED TO FORT CAMPBELL!!!
Go find a fucking shrink, perhaps he/she can help you put your problems into perspective. You've gone from blamming the whole military for your problems to blaming a fucking whole base for your problems.

We get it; honestly we do. You had a shitty time in the Army. I read your list a couple months ago, rebutted a shit load of them too. We know you had, in your opinion, a crappy time in the military. Enough already.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Travel, education benefits and exposure to the rest of the world puts things in a different prespective.

I voted no. The Bundeswehr is useless without the red menace at our border.

Sidewinder, you're not doing yourself any good by stewing about your horrible past. I know you have to want the help before you actually go get some but come on, think about it, you're wasting your life away complaining about your past when you could be putting it all behind you and concentrating on what you can do for your future. I know it's hard to accept help, I watched my husband struggle with that years ago, but do you know what, he's a much better man for getting the help and he's much stronger, he no longer wants to kill the man who caused his injuries because he says he's worthy of life just like anyone else is. He's content with this guy just getting the shitty end of the stick when it comes to work and promotions.

From someone who has watched her beloved husband suffer from PTSD for 5 years, your problems just don't seem as bad, you really need to think about what you've been through as a bad part in your life, and as soon as you are able to move on from this your life will start to get a whole lot better, I can guarantee it. See a good counsellor asap, you won't like what you'll have to do to get past these feelings of anger but in the end you'll thank your counsellor (as long as he/she is a good one of course)
You really need to stop saying you'll get help when you post here and then not going through with it. You'll only get banned if you continue to complain and especially if you continue to say things like 'you have this overwhelming urge and want to kill people on the base'. That is not going to do you any good.

Good luck with finding good help and I hope I have helped you see that this is serious and needs some attention soon.
