If they want to stick in a bunch of villains they could have Spider-man take out a lesser villain in the first part and then go with with the main plot about the main villain.
Like having Sandman be in the beginning and have a fight scene, and then do the rest about Green Goblin II or The Lizard or someone.

I know, in case you were talking to me, but Hobgoblin never really had that strong of a secret identity. It wouldn't be too difficult to make Harry Hobgoblin (in fact, that's probably what will happen in Ultimate Spidey).Freeman's Trigger-Finger wrote:Oh, and Harry became Green Goblin 2, not Hobgoblin, thats a common misconception.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

I remember Ramai stating in an interview that he is at the crossroads on how to take the Harry Osbourne character for SM3. On the one hand, he has set it up for the classic revenge saga, in that Harry embraces his fathers revealed alter-ego of the Goblin, and uses it to avenge his fathers death - a'la Green Goblin 2.
On the other, Harry may choose to accept the fact that his Father was a murderer and so comes to terms with the choice Peter had to make in (albeit, inadvertedly) 'killing' him.
It certainly seems that given Harrys reaction to his fathers omnipresence goading him into 'avenging his death' (throwing a glass at the mirrior and screaming 'No!' ) that Ramai may choose to go with the latter. But then one cant seem to shake Harrrys presence at MJ's wedding with that oh-so sinister smirk of he's
By any means, most casual spidey fans wont be pleased to see the 'same villian' twice, so I think we can expect no Green Goblin 2 for the third movie. Unless we get two villians...

They told me there was nothing out there, nothing but fear. But the night my parents were murdered I caught a glimpse of something, and I've looked for it ever since. I went around the world, searched in all the shadows, and there is something out there in the darkness...something terrifying, something that will not stop until it has revenge. No Venom until at least Spider man 6 or 7 please! Especially no Carnage, gawd that would be shitty to quickly. Get the line stablished for a while.
Villains id like to see: Chameleon, Kraven, Mysterio, Wouldn't be against Spidey/Wolverine X-over either so long as there wasn't too much wank involved.

Ramai has made it abundantley clear that he isnt taking Spider Man past a third movie. Which, if he has any respect for the franchise or the comic book movie market in general, he will stick to.Darth Fanboy wrote:No Venom until at least Spider man 6 or 7 please! I'd also like to point out, that while many fans have suggested Man Wolf as a possible villian for the third movie, it is very unlikely that it will happen. John Jameson became Man Wolf through contact with the Symboite, which as we know, also gave birth to the Venom/Carnage saga.
Unlike the direction X-Men 3 is set to take with the Phoenix Saga, I'm sure Ramai has enough sense not to go in the direction of trying to break down the Symboite saga into a 2 hour movie for the benefit of a non Venom/Carnage set up.
