You know, it's really not our fault we don't fancy you, so :P

The wet fish is not something we can help giving out, so please forgive us everytime we do.

Beware, it's disturbingly accurate.
If there was any question as to why the Internet is a good thing, that site is it.

I don't want to think of any guy thinking of me as a wet fish. Eww.
Fortunately you are stimulating enough (mentally of course) that I think of your as more of a damp minx.
LOL

That's gorgeous. :D

If a girl listens to me I should count myself lucky.... well, it used to be that way until half a year ago.

I've been hit with The Dreaded Wet Fish a number of times, but the girls who did it usually had a valid reason. (such as already having a partner)

Well, it's not like there's not someone out there I might have a chance with.

BTW, how the heck do avoid getting hit with the Wet Fish of Friendship?

Can I just tell you that I've been extremely depressed since reading that, since Brian said about three or four of those exact quotes to me at one point?

Sorry, Zaia. Didn't mean to make anybody feel bad. But surely it made you chuckle a few times, in that wry sort of way?

DW: Yeech...well I figured out most in my Freshmen year of college. Not so much later on...they were all much more honest. Either they wanted to be friends or they just used me for sex and free food and left afterwards.

Zaia: Well....that sucks. Sorry to hear it babe.

No, I know you didn't mean to make anyone feel badly, babe. And yes, it did make me chuckle a number of times, in that, "Ahhh, yes, this again" kind of way, but also in a "Damn this is funny as hell" kind of way too.

My favourite quote was, "I bet she likes ripping the stuffing out of teddy bears, too." :D

Heh.

How about:

"Of course it was a plutonic relationship, I never laid a dick on her"
-some drunk guy 1995

happened to me, big time...

spent an entire evening making out with her, get told she will say yes if i ask her out so i do.

response?

"but we hardly know each other"

so i go get even more drunk, and then spend the next two weeks trying to get to know her better

unfortunately the sotry isn't over yet... maybe next week

I get hit with some doozies, and they all usually end up saying the same thing. "You remind me of a big brother. I could never get intimate with you."

So...being a nice guy gents will usually take you down this path. I must admit though having committed 'incest' quite a few times even after this declaration. You just have to know when to push it, usually when sexual tension is at maximum and she is distraught about something...then you can be the soothing sausage as it were. :P

Personally, I think it best to start right away with obvious romantic overtures, instead of this "try to become her friend, and then try to become something more" trick. I already posted the link showing where the latter method leads.

It does occur to you guys that people tend to have multiple friends and one significant other, doesn't it? Statistics alone guarantees that most of the girls you know are going to want to just be friends. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. And yes, it can hurt, but there really isn't anything either person can do to change that.

True, but I wonder how someone can repeatedly use a single friend of the opposite sex as a shoulder to cry on about dating troubles, without once thinking about that.

Women always keep a man on the side like a dick in a glass case. We're the IN CASE OF EMERGENCY cock for the ladies. It's an old Chris Rock joke but having experienced it too often in my life I can attest to this phenomenon.

I do think about it. The only guy I do that kinda thing with understands me well enough to not get hurt by it, and he's much too uptight to be comfortable dating me anyway. And yes, he did pretty much flat out say so.

Hmmm...certainly have had a couple like that.......still do.

Ah well, perhaps one Halloween will dress up like that(y'know like the glass case you put the axe in but instead)...with the shiny letters et al.
