And in order to do Freespace you'd need a goddamn BRILLIANT script and director, just to get the feeling of utter desperation that accompanied the closing days of both the wars. Without that it would be pure shite.
Agreed. You need someone who can write a story and involve the space battles to show utter desperation. Even with seeming victories against the Shivans, you are still outnumbered. The Terrans loose countless Destroyers in the war, the Galatea is lost, Vasuda Prime is lost, Earth is being targeted by the Lucifer, then there is a stray call from Altair...

Doom on the other hand could be kickass if done correctly.

Sacrifice would do a good movie.
I'm not sure, but i think they are doing a movie based on Max Payne.
I wonder how that's going to be, copy/paste ?? 2 hours of shooting around in bullet time

?
If they change the plot they ruin it, not many options left.

Thief 1/2 could possible become a fantastic movie as long as they didn't screw around with the story too much.

Just though for sheer fun how about a Serious Sam movie. Preferably with Bruce Campbell as Sam.
Big Guns, Lots of Bad Guys and Cheesy One Liners.
A classic B-movie just waiting to be made...

This is me reading those two sentences:
"Just though for sheer fun how aabout a Serious Sam movie."
Are you freaking nuts?
"Preferably with Bruce Campbell as Sam."
I smell potential!

As what was said about RE movie (I liked it you bastards, and I hate the games!) I am nixing the original movie and opting for...
Super Mario Brothers
or
Super Mario World
Sonic the Hedgehog
Megaman
Double Dragon
Spy Hunter
Castlevania
There's plenty out there. However, the one and only game series that should be brought to the big screen is...
The Legend of Zelda Quintology
as follows
The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventures of Link
The Legend of Zelda: Hero of Time or Song of Time (just not fucking Ocharina)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Fuck....yeah.

The only answer to that is
YES
What can I say I like cheesy B-movies, hell I watched Ghost of Mars and thought it was brilliant
"What are we going to do now?"
"What we should have done in the first place" opens up with mp5K's "Die you mindless motherfuckers"

IMO, Doom 3 would be the best thing to base it on...

They've allready made a movie about Mario and Luigi. It's not very good.

Yes, that would be cool. But who could play Link?

Freespace....mmmm...when the galatea goes down....that would be one to remember....think about the possibilities for a sequal too..32 years on, they find themselves fighting to find a way home...and combat in the nebula would be fantastic...
Combat on a whole would be fantastic....can we say beam cannons?

M:tG would be fugging hard to do. I don't see M:tG as movie material, mainly because first off they'd screw it up by picking some lame ass storyline, then they'd mess it up even more by trying to toss in everyone's favorite legends, creatures, and spells. It's just now movie material. The books however (At least those written by J. Robert King.) are quite good.

Adult Link would probably be Hayden Christensen. He knows how to swing a sword (somewhat). There's others, but he's just jumping right out. As far as little link, Haley Joel Osmond would be great. The biggest thing is he can be really cool not saying anything, and it seems that Link almost NEVER talks. There are times when it looks as if he should be talking, like how they figure out his name. but either who. I'm sure others could crop up because it's obvious these two would be out of date by the time a third movie rolled around.

Star Craft or Deus Ex
Either one can dominate my life at any one time. My only fear is that in their conversion they would fuck up all the kinds of things that made the plot lines of these games great.

I don't know why, but I've always had this vague idea that Breath of Fire II could have made a great kids TV series, you just had to pad out the plot, get read of the niggly fetch+carry quests, and add some more character developement.
That aside... anything from White Wolf's World of Darkness (even if a studio would invariable get parts wrong, or attempt to make the scope of the movie too large/epic.)

Yeah, Hayden was the first one to come to my mind as well. He fought quite well in AotC.
